But most can see that we are going backwards at an alarming rate and in danger of not even achieving top 4, when we had title ambitions at the start of the season.
The results and performances especially are unacceptable.

What i dont get is why everyone is of the opinion that we couldnt have another manager do a better job ?

The problem Ben is your last statement - Who are the managers that could do a better job and that are also a viable option for us to get to come to our club in the state it is currently in ? No pipe dream lists but realistic options

I think what RBG is trying to say is we deployed overlapping fullbacks earlier in the season ie johnson but we were getting murdered defensively because of it

you have had a little break from here and brought it back to the same old same old.

I remember bigmick posted a reply on this stating names with the probable responses most would give.
The usual they wouldnt come with no money and all that.
We have no idea at all, what i would say is at this moment in time who would do worse ?
Lets look at this way, Avram Grant (not saying i rate him) but he doesnt have a bad standing after narrowly missing out on the champions league trophy, well ge went to portsmouth where the club was on its knees.
They arent Liverpool, we could attract a decent standard of manager without a doubt in my mind, and of you think otherwise then you dont think LFC are as attractive a proposition as i do.

well i dont think that was the problem at all, i think it was the midfields inability to control games that invited pressure and our inability to deal with set pieces.
I dont remember many goals coming from us getting turned due to the fullbacks being pushed on.
And if the fullbacks cant push on when you have 2 holding midfielders and another left back in midfield when can or will they ?

I dont think we are an attractive proposition because of our off the field situation with regards our current owners and current financial situation we find ourselves .

Some people must live in a dream world if a top class manager like same maureen would leave a club where he has massive financial backing and owners who know what it is to own a club to come to us with owners who are clueless and a lack of any substanial transfer budget to get the top players without having to sell top players .

Plus the fact there is who the current owners would want in charge - no doubt a yes man who would do what they ask and require - hence the previous link to klinsmann - that is the standard we would no doubt get . And that standard for me is not better than our present manager who is in the top tier of football managers

And brought thinks back that i have previouslt said after my little break because its still the same stuff being posted by people on here

in reference to your last line....thats because we are still witnessing utter rubbish.
I am not saying rafa isnt a top manager but for me he has taken us as far as he can, we will continue to go backwards under him until he goes now....IMHO

Yes Hiddink is a great manager but once again while he maybe available - when you consider our situation with our owners - 1. would he come to us and 2. would they even approach him and he has prob got a mind of his own - for me No on both accounts

It was due to Johnson being consistently ripped by any winger who ventured forward allowing the resulting crosses to completely undermine our defence ,but I also agree with the validity of your midfield claim ,but you can not seriously say you felt no trepidation everytime a winger skipped past Johnson unchallenged

Who knows, the turkey job is not exactly massive is it ?

At the moment, we are not in the performance game. We are in the getting results game. Yes, performances have been sh*te, but so long as we get the results, I'll take it as performances can get better and will. The system needs some tweaking. Gerrard can't play in the hole when he's both sulking and missing Fernando. It worked last season, but it's not working this season, so he needs to be put back in the middle and Benayoun or Aquilani needs to be put there instead. Our defense looks solid once again, and that was key. We're just not functioning well in the middle, particularly in the final 3rd, and again that's down to Gerrard's poor form and not being able to play in the hole all season. People wanted Rafa to stop the rot and the freefall we are in. He's done that when it was said he wasn't capable of doing it, yet people minds get swayed by a few lackluster, yet solid performances against stiff opposition? Why, because we aren't banging in five or six goals a game? Some of you need to get some perspective. Fourth is still priority all things considered, and we're on course.

Turkey may not be massive but neither was south korea or australia or russia and he went to them - he seems to prefer international footy at smaller under performing nations as opposed to club management and only went to chelsea as a favour for Abramovich .

A yes man to please our current owners .
