not you, so I expect no moaning whatsoever from you throughout the rest of this competition...because you don't care! :(

I expected to win the League this season, sometimes are expectations arn't met

Believe me win or lose you can EXPECT me to be moaning until the team reaches MY expectations.

I didn't expect us to win the league this season, I did expect us to be a feck of a lot closer to top than we are, didn't expect us to be going out of a CL group including Debrecen, Fiorentina and Lyon, or lose in the FA Cup to Reading.

So with the expectations reset for next season, assuming Rafa is still here, can we expect to be hoping to finish fourth, maybe win a domestic cup and put in a good show in the EuroDisney League? From CL finalists in 06/07, runners-up in the league in 08/09 to being told we expect too much in 09/10

Insua: Europa League is crucial
18th Feb 2010

Emiliano Insua insists the Liverpool players are determined to try and win the Europa League in order to bring some silverware back to Anfield as a reward for their loyal fans.

As the Reds prepare to take on Unirea Urziceni in the Europa League, the Reds No.22 is quick to acknowledge just how appreciative the players are for the wonderful support they have been given.

"We have to try to win the Europa League," Insua told Liverpoolfc.tv.

"We went out of the Carling Cup and FA Cup early this season so we want to win something for our supporters.

"Our supporters at this club are the most important part of Anfield. They always come to watch us and they give us incredible support.

"When we play at Anfield we always feel like we have got an extra player because of how special they are."

The Argentine left-back admits it will be be a different experience playing on a Thursday in Europe and added: "It will be strange to play on a Thursday as Liverpool is a team that normally plays in the Champions League.

"We have three months left in the season and we have to try and finish it as strong as possible.

"We want to be back in the Champions League next season and we have an important game against Manchester City on Sunday, but firstly we have this important game in the Europa League."

Rafael Benitez's men go into this tie having lost their last two home games in Europe on home soil to Lyon and Fiorentina, but Insua insists the team are determined to bring back a fortress Anfield.

He said: "This game will be different against a team we don't know too much about, but we have to approach the game with confidence.

"We are treating this game in the same way as would approach a Champions League tie. It's a similar competition as there are a lot of good teams in the Europa League who started the season in the Champions League.

"We have this first game at home and we have to play well and not concede an away goal because that could be crucial. We will do our best and hopefully get the victory.

"We have to try and win this game and then we can think about Manchester City."

(Aldershot holds twice as many)

And when we won the European Cup in 1977 we played Crusaders of Ireland who also had a smaller "stadium" than Aldershot.....big deal

I never accepted the league cup, "Milk Cup", whatever else it has been called cup, was a mickey mouse cup ...it's a trophy and in my book, I like to win it and be there when it happens...

I use to go and watch the Senior Cup finals......

We are in it, there is no changing that. Let's win it, get 4th place or better and end the season on a high.

LOL

sorry dude, just can't get a hard on out of failing in the CL and struggling for 4th.

Of course we'll support the team if they played against Barca or Blackpool, bu it's harder to get wood.

You saying you get the same thrill?

Where did I say I didn't care ? I said who cares  :D  (with a smilie) but in truth it won't break my heart if we go out. Although I never like to see Liverpool lose, if we get knocked out of this one I won't be broken hearted. It would be just another disappointing result in a disappointing season.

Maybe if YOU cared a little more you wouldn't be happy to accept a failing manager who has lowered your expectations so much that you think this is an important competition rather than some tin pot cup dreamt up just to make more money.

Typical of the new generation of supporters...... your willing to accept second best
