The competition has a big "loser" stamp all over it.

It would be less :censored: if no CL failures went into it.

Really embaressing to be in this.

So all the past UEFA Cup wins stood for nothing, shall we just sit back and let Everton win it instead then?

We should go all out to win this trophy, cos I thought this club ' existed to win trophies'? ???

Okay, it's not the Champions League, but any competition involving the likes of Valencia, Villareal, Atletico Madrid, PSV, Galatasaray, Ajax, Juventus, Roma, Benfica, is one worth winning in my eyes.

"Fans" like you do my head in. I presume if we get to the final you won't bother watching then?

Errrrrrrr.....no.
I don't have any cheerleading pom-poms Lee  :D

The thoughts of watching us play in that competition, knowing what brought us to this, having seen those raging pillowbiters win in Milan last night......nope, I am too disgusted to watch.

Interesting response.....
I watch the CL because I'm a football fan. I had hoped Milan would do the scum in last night. I'll watch tonight to see how Arsenal get on as well....
If I have a sudden change of heart between now and Thursday nite, I *might* watch Liverpool.....but I'm not really er.sed how we fare in the competition. It's a level below us....FFS, even the Bitters are in it - and they're "a small club"...
Gimme a break - if you're excited about a competition we are better than, so be it...

Me too mate.....It's the only way it'll get done - the missus is way too lazy, and if I didn't have it streaming on the laptop, I'd have to get Sly Sports, veg on the couch and I'd never get up !

You, Niall, and anyone else who thinks we have a god given right to be in the champions league and look down upon competitions with clubs in it such as Valencia Juve, PSV Benfica, Villareal.

We are all disappointed, and it was sickening watching last night but the way some people are coming accross is distasteful to me and other clubs deserve a bit more respect, while we should also show a bit more class.

Some are coming accross as snobby and arrogant which isnt nice to see.

I am in the middle on this one. I can't say I am thrilled at the prospect of us playing in this competition but as its the ONLY chance we have left to make this a memorable season for the right reasons we may as well try and win it.

No its not much better than the League cup in my personal opinion, but at least its something to take the edge off our poor season. If that sounds arrogant I apologise, but WE ARE LIVERPOOL not some team that is thankful for scraps off the plate of bigger clubs. If we progress I expect the interest will intensify and if we get to the final I think we will all be happy to win it.
