I would have to agree with your opinion of Ireland ,no doubting he's a formidable talent ,but the general consensus is he's as mad as a box of frogs ,not unlike Don Hutchinson when he played for the Reds never far from controversy but he too was blessed with natural footballing ability ,but due to his off field antics never truly fulfilled his potential

Plus his dress sense is only slightly less off the wall than Diouf,s
