Liverpool Football Club - Games

1 goal was always going to win that.  Unfortunately they got it.

Game changed when Carra came off, we were instantly under more pressure defensively.  Degen made a few slack passes and was then beaten in the air by Diaby for the goal.  Great header and great cross though, not sure Carra being on would have made more difference for that.

We still could have got something out of it.  Maxi had 2 or 3 really good chances from the edge of the box and seemed to shin every one of them.  We looked more likely to create something when Gerrard dropped back to centre mid.

Fu.cking Howard Webb though, he bottled that decision big time.  Wasn't in their box but he obviously wasn't sure and thought he'd play it safe and pretend he didn't see it.  In fairness though he could have given a pen for Bendtner's...ahem ... dive.

The antis will be here soon to whine and nag and b!tch and cry. Thankfully we haven't had to hear much from them lately

no doubt you will be right,  I thought we had a decent game and I think we have definetly turned the famous corner now regardless of todays result........

and let me introduce tonights negative posters...

:D

decent game in the sense we never looked like losing but we still never looked like we was going to win at anytime.  We never really had sustained pressure and didnt create much.  Surely we should expect more than a performance which contains the other side.

I bet Wenger 'didn't see it' either.

Mate, if I could get my hands on him I'd ring his fecking neck, fecking livid with that!

Yeah, man. I said it when Carra went off. Degen's a wooden one and I was worried.

Not too dismayed with the result, but more f*cked off with the refs. I mean how f*cking long can they go on f*cking us over? It happens too often. Disgrace.

Look at the replay ER - it was outside...

It was very close, back of his foot may have been very, very close to the line, if it was touching the line then it's a pen.

Don't matter now, we've been fucked over, refs have done their job!!

On a positive note I think we did well keeping the game the way it was and I would of been happy with a point there.

I keep giving Mascherano MoTm, but I think he was fanatastic (and people don't want him in the side?) for games like that where Rafa wants to contain the opposition and for having a general guard on the back four nobody does it quite as well as him. I even saw him fecking fuming at Degen when that tw@t was hell bent on running forward like a headless chicken. He played a fecking s.*i*e pass to Kuyt and steamed on forward, Arsenal regained possesion and attacked us down the big fecking void he left. Mascha fumed at him and gave him a rollocking he deserved.

I thought Skertel and Agger were comfortable enough no major dramas there, Insua in the first half looked a bit of a liability at times but he was much better in the second. Lucas did okay too, but when Gerrard dropped back the array of passing and orchastrating he does with the ball at his feet is something we sorely miss IMO when Lucas is paired with Mascha. Maxi, didn't have the best of games but he kept popping up with half chances every now and again and I think if Rafa will give him a decent run in the side he may prove to be useful. Kuyt was better in the second half and we missed the N'gog that played against Everton at the weekend.

Oh well, its a shame that. We didn't deserve to loose IMO we contained a decent team on their own patch and if it wasn't for some idiot then who knows what the outcome may of been.

Well done lads, unlucky Rafa. :(

Not a penalty as it was just outside the box but it was a blatant handball that Webb totally ignored even though he clearly saw it.  Absolutely bullsh,it refereeing.  Fabregas should have walked, we should have another FK and who knows...

With that said, I think we let ourselves down a bit earlier in match.  One Babel thunderbolt aside, we simply did not test one of the league's softest keepers IMO.  Almunia is a fecking sieve so we should have been raining shots down on him at every opportunity.

As for their goal, Bam's spot on--Degen is a complete tool piece.   Shows zero interest in putting his head in where it hurts and he cost us a point as a result.  And that's just the worst moment--he made a number of dodgy decisions and poor touches during his time on the pitch.  Let's hope Carra's okay or Darby's available because the Swiss is a joke at RB.  Oh, and who the feck is tracking Diaby's run from midfield?

WTF is Maxi at ? Does he not know how to direct a fookin' shot on target ? How many chances did he have ?

Health and Safety should be called into the Arsenal training ground as every person that enters the place seems to develop Glaucoma.

Definitely left his shooting boots at home tonight.  He should have buried at least one of them.

My biggest gripe tonight tho' is with all those batsards who couldn't give me a quality stream to watch the game instead of paying Sly Sports a geansai load o' money for the privilege of listening to the tools who provide the commentary and wreck my bleedin' head !
