I've had trimm trab, grand slam, forest hills tournament edition and munchen over the last few years but I have to say theyre not comfy, theyre flat footed and whilst are excellent on the eye I stop wearing em and put the modern cushioned trainees back on.

Not scouse, and too young RBG but I did read a book by Nicky Allt and he illustrated the importance of your outfit in Liverpool in the '80's very well. He used to sit on the Annie Road. He reckoned scousers were responsible for bringing a lot of these brands to Britain because they spent so much time in Europe.
You must have seen some wild times.
