I've got a Macbook Pro, iPhone and been a mac user for 10 years (had about 10 macs, I'm an addict)but I won't be buying the iPad, massive let down in my opinion, it's just a big iPhone, no camera and no USB ports

The big sticking point for me is the lack of a pressure sensitive pen stylus. If that thing could be used as a graphics tablet as well as a mobile computer, then it would be a huge success. To not inlcude a feature like that would be a massive mistake and missed oportunity for what otherwise would be a decent product.

i'm a diehard apple user myself, since about 11 years ago, but i find myself bit by bit falling out of love with them. my current powerbook is the 15" macbook pro and i think its the worst i've ever had. i've never had to send it back (as far too many apple users have to do at some point) but it it often runs like sh!t even with 4 gig of ram in it. i also quite often have to install set ups with new macs and i'm getting increasingly vexed about them changing the connector shape with every new model. costs me a fecking fortune in adaptors and cables - 80 euros for an adaptor and a firewire cable the other day.
and as for this ipad thing, i just don't really get it. it seems to fall between too many stools and i don't think its anywhere near revolutionary enough to begin to shift peoples computer using, media consuming habits in the way that apple want to. i'm hoping i'll get the chance to have a play with one of them soon, for entertainment's sake but i can't think of why i'd want one.
