Its always the same on this board. Two days ago a lot of people were talking about how we'd "stuff" Man UTD. The lack of footballing knowledge among certain members is shocking.

There have also been a lot of people on this web site who have recently been expressing their concern about the quality of Cisse, Baros, Kewell etc. These people have been demonstrating a deal of perceptive football knowledge by pointing out the limitations of these players, which are now being proven when they are tested in the big games. :suspect:

Cisse needs time, Baros can produce you can see the potential just needs som chances I think and Kewell well he is very inconsistent, he was good against Monco but against ManU he was poor.

We need time and patience from the fans, a poor performance last night but we will come back and be better for it.

I didn't say all, Redrider, I said some.

Certain people spoke of how we'd whip Man UTD and how we'll easily finish ahead of them this season.

I'm not been smart after the event: in a thread yesterday I predicted a 2-1 or 3-1 Man UTD victory.

Thats a disgrace aswell, Raffa will have to sort that one out before we play chelsea or arsenal, we'll probably get beat 5 or 6 nill by them 2 if things dont change with our defence.
Hamann should have started last night anyway and kewell dropped for warnock, Stevie only ever has a good half anyway be it first or second half of a game hes never brilliant for 90 mins.
Saturday against norwich nunez cisse and baros all to play and throw kewell on drop him for CL game on tuesday.
Why should harry bother with his Lpool wages when hes just turned over 35mill?
Thats why Beckhams ****** hes got enough money aswell.

We are all great football pundits in hindsight aren't we??

P.S. Probably 80% of all prem footballers are multi millionaires, money does not mean anything....................PASSION! you either got it or you aint!!

they've only started together twice. the fact of the matter is, playing 4-5-1, the main striker gets isolated a lot of the time.

I havnt heard one word of praise for Alonso last night!
He was the only player for me that looked like a class player!
Knocking cisse is easy to do but can anyone say he got much service!
Another thing that people really havnt picked up on is how well Manure actually played!

Give Rafa time!

as much as i despise them, i'll give them credit. they deserved to win. we were poor. we have to set ourselves up with a more attacking formation away from home. :(

I'm not going to start by slagging Cisse , I'll content myself by saying so far he has been a MAJOR disappointment.
Many of you may jump to his defence and say (again) "Give him time , he has to get used to the team ,the tactics, the english premiership, the food , the language, etc etc etc" , well ok but how come Alonso and Josemi arrive face exactly the same problems and yet from the off  almost seeminglywithout effort  slot in to the groove ??? . Sorry Lads and Lasses for £14 million I expected more.
C'mon Cisse for f*ucks sake !!! Impose yourself

Agreed! Its not as if cisse has never kicked a ball before in his life. No show of quality yet so far. IM not saying he wont improve, only time will tell.

he missed a sitter after about 4 minutes too! scuffed it

My take is Cisse has to be given more time. In France, he was fed the ball in all directions and he managed to score a lot of goals. Here he has to work a little harder becos lets face it, the english league is much better than the french league.

I would rather Baros start each game and then cisse comes on later in the 2nd half (for the next 5 - 6 games).

This way cisse will be able to :
1)Adapt to this league.
2)Scare the living daylights of tiring defenders with his pace.
3)With the above 2 points hopefully score a few goals.
4)Become much better than henry and win us the title.  :D

There is a huge difference between French and Spanish football. Spanish is a bit more like the Premiership than French football.

4-5-1 formation won't make the striker a star . Rafa wants his midfield to score in every game

I got to admit that Cisse has been pretty ordinary so far. You kind of half expected it him being a Houllier buy. You pay 14 million for a guy you expect him to deliver quickly. In my opinion the best players dont need to bed in. So far I see little to encourage me. I so want to see it, the odd little glimpse of something more in the locker. Looks a bit sulky to me,will probably be up for it if we are on top of a game, but hides when we are taking it. He will get a few for us, but I doubt he will do anything more than Heskey overall. And Heskey got back to head away corners lol we needed that last night :(. Under the new management I doubt Cisse will get more than a season to prove himself, or he will be gone.
