listening to terrace talk before on city and his liverpools rep for italy came on saying that he got 4/5 goals and maybe 14/15 assists which will be a massive step up from fabio and jar

just hope ensua gets a shout in the cups this term as the lad is the future imo

Thats a bit harsh on Aurelio I think. As the games came he was starting to show some form then injury hit again. However I do hope this lad is as good as the reports on here.

Degen has just came back from an injury and isnt 100% to play for Switzerland, as far as i know, and Dosenna is a recently noticed player who has to contend with a lot of high quality full backs which are in the Italian team.

Plus Udinese aren't the best side to be noticed from really. Maybe if he has a one or two seasons with us and plays well, fingers crossed, then he will get more publicised than before and may have a shot in the italian team. its still early days yet theres no need to think so negatively

Italy have loads of quality defenders, and everyone knows you don't get picked for the international team unless you're at least 32 years of age.
And according to the BBC, Degen was injured, otherwise he'd have started. And Switzerland bizarrely have loads of good fullbacks (Lichsteiner, Magnin, someone else too I think. And Behrami can play there too).

Many of good players are not called up for their international teams when they player for smaller , less prestigious clubs .
Clichy , Sagna who have had both outstanding seasons . A classic example would be luis garcia and arbeloa , when garcia was playing for us he was in a spain squad , now he's not . Arbeloa was never in the spain club before he joins LFC . It goes to show that you only get reconigised when you player for good top teams

Dossena has been one of the most impressive players in Serie A in the last few seasons. He'll be a good signing I reckon. As for Degen hmmm we won't know until we see him play. He didn't cost anything so we can get rid just as quick as he arrived, if he isn't up to scratch.
