LIVERPOOL VS SPURS - Wed. Jan. 20 (Rescheduled)

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby Cool Hand Luke » Wed Jan 20, 2010 5:34 pm

Spurs have been solid at the back recently and now have two genuine football players in midfield with Modric and Kranjcar. One thing they do lack however is width. Modric and Kranjcar both like to drift in and if I remember correctly Kranjcar is a right footer and they play him on the left. Corluka at right back wont bomb forward too much so its only really their leftback Bale who will be looking to get forward and get balls into the box from the wide areas, so if we play Maxi right midfield he may be able to find space to make a few runs in behind their defence.

Spurs have slipped up a few times this season when team have been compact against them and that could be the key to keeping a clean sheet. I think they themselves have kept 5 clean sheets in a row in the league so it may be a bit of boring game unless we score early.

Corluka   Bassong   Dawson   Bale

Modric     Palacios    Jenas  Kranjcar

              Crouch    Defoe

Insua should be alright dealing with Modric as he cuts inside a lot and ive noticed he struggles against the wider players.

If the atmosphere is as good as im hoping it willl be, then we will win this. we need to win this.

How's Bale's record at winning games these days? :D

if he starts surely we'll win
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Just quietly confident mate , Spurs aren't as good as they think and we are better than them even with our injuries. We just need to get at them from the off and it will be all over inside 30 mins.

Is that Arsene Wenger in the trolley?
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.
