He's basicallly saying the club was a slipping, below par club compared to the likes of Barca, Madrid, United, etc etc, and he's brought us right back up there. It's like playing a game of Fifa where Liverpool would only be rated 3 stars out of five and now they are a 4.5 stars out of five. Certainly with our record in Europe in recent years, who can argue with him? Oh, that's right, you and the rest of the balloons.

Blah...blah...fifa....4.5 stars...blah blah championship manager blah...blah...blah.... :sleep

Well...thats settled then. Benitez's personal ***** (feel free to add) has spoken  :glare:

Everythings allright with the team....  :buttrock

dont worry mate we'll get a new manager for you and when he doesnt win the league in his second season you can get rid

Yeah he is seeing as he is a Liverpool fan and Whelan is a Man U fan I know which one Id rather have backing us ER any day of the week.

He may talk out of his backside on occasion but he is a Liverpool fan. Whelan was a great player and a great servant to LFC.

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

I agree With Ronnie Whelan - sack him now and give Dalglish 5 months to inspire the players until the end of the season and take it from there.

I imagine the players can't stand Benitez, he is annoying and unlikeable and I don't think any player feels any personal loyalty to him.

Benitez has been talking sh11te for a few seasons now.....he fools the "pro-Rafa brigade" very easily.......talk is cheap.......action is what counts....and Rafa has failed to deliver time after time.He comes out with these "lets all get behind the team" rallies and "pump up the volume sh11te" to deflect away from his inept and abismal record in the prem....it will be the same story after tonight....he has already practiced his "excuses speech" for after the game. :nod

You will be surprised by how many ex players have an allegiance to others....

Jan Molby is a massive Arsenal fan...has been since childhood..but when it's your association to Liverpool thats our major payday, it's best kept secret. :;):

I knew about Whelan's comments about Manure  - what do you mean about Lawro and Beglin ? Have they said similar ? Or is it just because they're bell-ends....?

See this...how is this bollox allowed to be repeated over, and over, and over by the same person? You woudn't even get this from an Arsenal/United supporter.

Why?

Why back a lousy manager? too many people think supporting a manager is the same as supporting a club. When the wrong man is in charge he must be fired - otherwise Souness would still be here.

The manager is rubbish - going nowhere - and a draw with stoke is now a reasonable result, so low are the standards.

Rubbish? With the trophies he's won?

You're full of sh*t.

since the first season - he won  1 FA cup on penalties against West Ham.

That is all.

Did he not win a CL, a UEFA cup, two La Liga titles, and get to two other big finals? Yeah, he's rubbish.

I only care about his English record - it took him ages to get the English game.

Since the first season, 1 FA cup on penalties against WEst Ham is his only achievement.

That and not getting relegated (such are the pro benitez standards)

And yes - he is a shhit manager.

You can't say Benitez is a s*it manager because that simply isn't true.

He won the La Liga twice with Valencia in three seasons, the CL in 2005 and FA Cup in 2006 with Liverpool.

I don't believe that Rafa is the man to take us forward though and I think its time for a change but I still respect him and what he has achieved.

I just want what's best for the club and I believe that will come from a change in management as well as ownership.

I will be there tonight....and as i always do will shout for our team from the first to last whistle.....it's up to Benitez and his flops to do the business on the pitch....somehow i dont think many of them (with an exception or two) will be able to raise their mediocre preformances to the level that requires us to not only put spurs to the sword......but other teams that will follow......one swallow....does not make a summer as they say. ???  :no

Lawro hasn't had a kind word to say about  us for years. In fact, I can't remember him saying anything remotely decent about us. I'm not sure about him, really. He just doesn't show the passion that the likes of Hansen, Barnes, Aldo etc etc do. At least Hansen shows concern whenever the two are on MoTD. Lawro just couldn't be ar$ed. I'm not sure about Beglin either, but then again he wasn't exactly with us for that long, so I couldn't give a toss what he has to say.

unfortunately, it's harmless drivel. he can't be banned for having an opinion, however ridiculous it is.

i don't even now why he's still here to be honest. even threads which aren't about the manager he posts in and has a pop at the manager. the other day he even posted in the torres thread (probably rafa's biggest success) and instead of praising the player for saying the right things he turned it into an opportunity to have another pop at the manager by saying "well when he's back from injury the manager probably won't play him blah blah blah".

it's tiresome, but quite funny nonetheless.
