Zonal marking = bad, for set pieces i think - never liked it. The problem tonight was keeping the ball but second half was better, although it couldn't have been worse than the first. I thought Alonso was our best player tonight but as a team we took too long to get going.

Why are Mancs celebrating?CAUSE THEY FINALY BEAT LIVERPOOL AT HOME! They are still behind, and I expect them to lose to Tottenham next week. I must say Tottenham have looked really solid, they will give a run for Manchester's money.

why would we cry just cus we lost by some dubious refreeing descion in favour of manchester i was surprised the f.a let him refree knowing who he supports but nothink surprises me these dayz.

lakes10, I agree, even going back to the Hansen days I'd sh!t myself at set pieces (the Palace semi final still gives me nightmares!).

However. I'm trying to look forward & can't believe that Beneitez is that naive to let this situation continue. Certainly not with Sami, Jamie & Josemi in our back line.

Says a lot of Shagausaurus that less then 90mins after the game he's on the LFC site

Back to the subject of the post "Cheated". Ok it shouldn't have been a corner but on the balance of play 2-1 was a fair result. We played much better second half but we couldn't have played much worse. The signs are still there that Liverpool are able to compete at this level and in Alonso we have one superb new signing.

I've watched us lose to Man U before and beena lot more disappointed and gutted. This season is formative and an opportunity to build the team, lets not lose sight of that in the aftermath of one defeat albeit against the Mancs !!
