That was one of the poorest games from the point of reffereeing in a while. There were at least a dozen significant and extremely dodgy decisions, everyone of them in Man U's favour. And where was the ref from? Thats right, Manchester.

Not taking anything away from Man U who played well, but they far from deserved a win there.

F****** ref!

Is it just me or do the referees seem to want to be the games new stars this season? There have been some extremely poor refereeing decisions this season (The ususal obviously incorrect offsider rulings, two incidences of a player being booked twice but not sent off, and almost as many incorrect calls in these first few games as there were all of last season!)

The ref and the 2 Sky commentators were rooing for the devils...we had no chance even before a ball was kicked. H'ever, I will blame the decision to sell Danny Murphy for our loss!! Cheer-up boys, not every team is gonna play us at 100mph speed...

I was really looking forward to this game but it all went wrong, loosing Gerrard was a big downside to the night, but to be honest the goals we conceeded were fookin stupid imo!!! and both from that ugly b$stard :angry:

I don't want to point fingers but once again Kewell did nothing but give the ball away, I just really wish he's show us a 5 star performance and soon!

I just don't know what to say apart from I'm gutted

Shaga i'll give you the credit you deserve. Well done and probably on the whole you edged it due to your first half performance. Still you had the luck a little tonight and you surely would have to agree with that? Was the first a free kick & the second was quite clearly a goal kick. We were poor in the first half but picked up in the second with Alonso looking better & better with every game. Loosing Stevie was a big blow but Didi come on and did a solid job. Garcia didnt have a good night and couldnt get into it. I wouldnt say we were cheated because we have to still defend the set pieces still and didnt.

ok the ref was not the best but i tell you this......he was not the one to set up our defence he was not the one that could not put 2 passes together he was not the one that did not shoot when he could have , he was not the one that took till the seconed half to get a corner...we was p*** poor we need to re think our team ,we need better players even more so now stevie is out for 8 weeks

The referee was absolutely horrendous i counted at least 3 penalty kicks that should have been awarded to liverpool and their second goal should have been a goal kick. Though, RVN should have also had a pk early on. I still think Liverpool got screwed on the officiation but thats the way things work out sometimes.
