8) Momo sissoko, okay...at least he can head unlike masch. BETTER THAN LUCAS OK!!! at least he scores a goal before?

9) Voronin...Babel...Pennant...okay these bad apples who team don't own them? LOL alan smith for an example?

16) Steve Finnan...why he can't obey like John O shea did...even wes brown also not in first team yet they can obey SAF command when to play and when not to. man management problem?

17) Okay...previous season ppl can bla bla bla how good performance our team to climb to 2nd spot.

OH RLLLY??? how many times we came back winning in the last minute??? bottom line is

WE'RE F*CKED!!!

True that   :glare:

If it's true majority of the fans in the stadium still singing for Rafa, I think it would be a convenient excuse for the Yanks not to sack Rafa.

Yanks: We listen to you!

Its far from true that the majority in the ground are still singing for Rafa
In reality there is a lot of discontent with him, the frustration of watching us struggle against so called lesser teams from the off, knowing full well that no changes other than enforced ones will be made until at least 65mins, then it will be a head scratcher
Another month of this garbage and 4th place could be well and truly out or reach.
And lets be honest; would anyone put the mortgage on him turning it around?
Whether you like it or not, times up and new blood is needed.

Just because you and your fellow knuckle heads say his time is up, that does not mean it IS up.

You arrogant punk.

It's the same old excuses and empty apoliges from Rafa....talk is cheap....action speaks louder than words, dont tell me our season starts tomorrow....again! ffs the guy is a joke nobody (including the playing staff) have any faith in empty and hollow words, which we have heard many times this season.....our season might yet kick-start into action?....but only when Rafa fukks off. :nod

Rafael Benitez signed a 5 year contract at Liverpool in the summer, and this is probably the only thing saving him from the proverbial noose. Its often cited his transfer policy is to blame, that he has been unlucky with injuries, and that his team is over-reliant on two players, but in truth, his failing is a social one.

Frank Lampard said in an interview the other day that of all the managers he has worked with, the best have been those with whom he has forged a special bond. Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti, he claimed, are two such exceptional people.

David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Cristiano Ronaldo, to name but a few of the luminaries who have graced Old Trafford over the years, have all referred to Alex Ferguson as a ‘father figure’ at the club. Fergie’s influence goes so far at Old Trafford that when courting a youngster, he takes the time to meet and involve the parents, and, ask Lee Sharpe and Ryan Giggs, takes a keen interest in players private lives.

Try asking Arsenal greats such as Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira, Dennis Bergkamp, or even someone such as ‘Cesc Fabregas what they think of Arsene Wenger, and it’s likely you’ll get a similar response. Ask the Barcelona players even, how they feel about Josep Guardiola – but what happens when you ask a Liverpool player about Rafael Benitez?

Fernando Torres summed it up perfectly in his book when he revealed the moment Benitez spoke to him just after he found out his wife, Olalla, was pregnant. Torres thought he was offering him congratulations, instead Benitez said: ‘“Just as we’d anticipated attacking the near post really paid off yesterday.”

This is a very interesting insight into Benitez’ personality and style of man-management, or rather, lack thereof.  After all, this is the man who fell out with Xabi Alonso after he decided to stay home for the birth of his first child instead of board a plane for a champions league match against Inter Milan, and the man who, after Liverpool’s first leg victory over Real Madrid at the Bernabeu last season, didn’t even bother to congratulate the squad.

Dr Kerry Spackman, a renowned sports psychologist, once aided a top European football manager by comparing him to a conductor – “who knows the strengths and weakness of each musician, who trains and disciplines them, relentlessly, firmly, like a wise father educating and bringing up their children.” Does this sound like Rafa?

Whatever you say about the monetary rewards in the premier league, the sheer size of its worldwide audience and the passion it generates translates into huge pressure on a players psyche. Someone who is mentally weak will not survive. But kids are rarely born with these skills, they need to be taught, and in the same way a poor parent can affect a child’s outlook on life, so can a bad manager deeply affect a player’s confidence and self image.

Fergie has become one of the most successful managers in the game ever, not because of his transfer policy, although generally he has been successful in the market, not because he is a tactical genius, but because of the way he has nurtured talent and developed players who operate under a clearly defined philosophy. The same goes for Arsene Wenger. You just don’t hear stories about players Benitez has developed in the same way. He is always encouraging them to improve their skills and performance, but his inability to relate to his players on any other level than football, has had a cumulative negative effect on his team.

Social psychologists now accept that human beings are ‘wired to connect’. We feed of each others emotions and the neural ballet that occurs between a team of players when they are in tandem and on the same wavelength accounts for the phenomenon of a team becoming greater than merely the sum of its individuals.

At Liverpool, players like Ryan Babel have never really been given an extended chance because they are hauled off or dropped at the first sign of a slip, the result mentally, is that the next time Babel steps on the pitch he will be too anxious about making a mistake. His dissatisfaction grows, and that negativity spills over into the dressing room and affects the harmony of the squad and by extension, the synchronicity of the team.

It’s even worse when one of your star players is unhappy. Steven Gerrard has said he was heartbroken at the club’s decision to sell Xabi Alonso, and this psychological trauma has probably been ignored by Benitez, even though it’s a toxic emotion that will have spread insidiously throughout the squad.

Many coaches have ruled with fear as an element of their power, as David Beckham recently said about Alex Ferguson, but for this to be truly effective, there has to be an element of affection too. Look at the difference between Benitez and Jose Mourinho, who is gifted at handling people and undoubtedly has worked and studied hard on psychology. Even though his teams don’t always play the best football, the man has a fantastic record and hasn’t lost a home game with any club since 2003. More importantly, he has won league titles consecutively.

Rafa Benitez has an excellent record as a manager; he is an extremely shrewd tactician, and is meticulous in his match preparation. He can be overly cautious, but his teams, from Valencia to Liverpool last year, usually play a high standard of attractive football and score goals.  But, for a team to be greater than the sum of its parts, and for that team to endure and progress over a period of seasons, and furthermore for Benitez himself to take his own ability to the next level, he must surely examine and try to rectify his own social failings. As it stands, he lacks the  skills to repair the discord that has infected Anfield.

What a complete load of old b*llocks.

I take it we outscored everyone last season inspite of Rafa, then?

Cobblers.

Perhaps YOU should see a psychologist - ask him why you delight in seeing the club you supposedly support struggle.

He's often been 'hauled off' because he's been "sht" too many times. That's sensible management because "sht" players cause the team to suffer.

Babel's situation is a good illustration of Rafa's error of judgment in the transfer market, not of his supposed lack of interpersonal skills.

I don't think the rest is up to much, either. Even though they may have a point re. Rafa's man-management skills "or lack thereof", the reasoning didn't do it justice at all.

In that press conference with Rafa he knew awkward questions would be asked and he did not answer them directly. I don't blame him for acting coy, he'd know the knives would be out if he gave anything away. I don't see anything wrong with that, if it were me I'd want to keep any issues in house and try and resolve them without the stirring of the media circus.

20 FACTS TO SACK RAFA

1)Jack Hobbs is good , Warnock is better even....and he sold them off.

I saw Hobbs in a couple of games a few seasons ago and he was nothing special at all. Warnock wasn't some kind of revelation and wanted 1st team football which we couldn't provide.

2)WHY HE SOLD HAMANN in the first place?

Live in the past for gods sake, please do. Why not keep Hamman and Hyppia until they are 40?
Why was it that after he left us he very quickly dissappeared
from the international stage after just a copule of seasons.

3)Peter Crouch could worth more to us, but he still sell him off.

1 year left on contract and wanted 1st team football. Get 11 million or nothing at all next summer. Makes sense since we are such a financially healthy club....

4)Keane should be played more often but he still sell him off. Now we don't have good finisher?

Eh, how good of a finisher was Keane? We played a system with 1 forward and I still think Keane got to show his quality(or lack of)

5)Hypia, must be a prophet something....he left and no one scores header for us anymore lolz !!!

Once again, he was 35 fgs. We have to let go someday....

6)Arbeloa is good...well, at least not too injury prone...who the hell carra scold him off...and he went to be first team for RM.

1 year left and really wanted to leave. Untenable situation and has to be taken care off.

7)Alonso, Okay 30m is good deal...but Aqualani injury prone, din't they give better scouting? I think there are some players which has the ability like Aquaman right? Perhaps we can even get Ronaldinho for that price tag!!!

Alonso wanted to leave and was never going to sign a new contract. Ronaldinho isn't even close to what he used to be anymore and way overhyped!

8) Momo sissoko, okay...at least he can head unlike masch. BETTER THAN LUCAS OK!!! at least he scores a goal before?

I see you have totally forgotten or supressed the final 6 months of his LFC career....

9) Voronin...Babel...Pennant...okay these bad apples who team don't own them? LOL alan smith for an example?

And no one make mistakes.... You want me to mention all the garbage Ferguson and Mourinho has brought?
The difference is they have owners who can afford mistakes and buy again and again!

10) THE GREATEST MISTAKE RAFA DID IS.... HE FUKED OFF THE GREATEST TRAINER IN THE WORLD.

PAKO AYESTERAN..(duno spell correctly or not)

when this guy around, look how tough our team is. We are famous for possessions and toughness as team. Team hardly beat us because of what? We don't afraid of holding ball...now....one tackle then patah kaki lolz.

Do you know anything about why he left?
Could it be that he maybe just wanted to move back home??

11) Hmm...of course...where the hell is Dossenna now? Arent he supposed to make Aquaman adapt the english culture...haha he went back home!!! and the money at least could be used for MOURINHO salary?

So Dossena was a failure. It wasn't as disastourus as some try to make out.

12) Lack of height nuffsaid. Lucas and mascherano is too short for BPL!

Well, there might be some truth to that.

13) Oh yeah, where the hell is our Guthrie that has the ability to be first team in rich club as well? He sold him off for lucas? Okay, maybe Guthrie is not a good boy perhaps.

And like most of all the players we have sold:
WHERE ARE THEY NOW???
If every player that leave us are so great why is there not one playing for a top club???

14) Bellamy, why the hell sell him off and we can't even get a decent wing since then. his attack is sharp and look how he did in Man city, okay...rafa stuborness can't control him? Laughing stock!

And Bellamy wasn't a problem off the field?
Maybe the money was needed as we already had Torres, Kuyt, Crouch at the time and the was no room for him?
And City can't afford to surround him with good players either the way they are spending?

15) Risse, could have sell him for higher price tag. He is still red, although he scores an own goal which cost the team...

Riise had reached as far as he could with hard work and running.
He wasn't that smart or skilled and made to many mistakes at the end of his lfc career.

16) Steve Finnan...why he can't obey like John O shea did...even wes brown also not in first team yet they can obey SAF command when to play and when not to. man management problem?

Finnan was older and we could get some much needed money and maybe he didn't want to stay as a backup as he had been
1st choice for some years?

17) Okay...previous season ppl can bla bla bla how good performance our team to climb to 2nd spot.

OH RLLLY??? how many times we came back winning in the last minute??? How many times Alonso is the saviour? making players makan red card? and don't forget that time Chelsea is facing problem, and Arsenal too. Man Utd came behind and lead us...and we lost to middlesbrough 2-0 home!!! crazy ain't? while chasing title and we lost to tottenham and middlesbrough which is the LOWEST RANK IN LEAGUE THAT TIME!!!

Well, of course we overachived last season. Got very lucky with cards and last minute goals. But that is the problem as everyone thinks we were so close and the expectations goes of the roof!

18) The joke about Rafa is...

He USED 80% OF THE PREVIOUS TEAM BY GERRARD HOULIER TO WIN CUPS.

ie. UEFA champion , super cup, fa cup...eh no more ady?

And why didn't Houllier win with that team then??
He managed to achive nada, nothing, zilch his last 3 years!

19) Our lucky star luis garcia gone....aih nvm la, but at least Baros shouldn't be gone??? Why liverpool never can keep players with loyatly ie. Giggs , and Scholes, Brown and Oshea...

Why?
Cause, as much as it pains me to say, Giggs, Scholes, Brown etc are miles ahead of Garcia, Baros etc espcially if you count stability on a regular basis.

20) OKAY...SO LIVERPOOL IS A POOR CLUB. Why the hell in the first place we have lost so many valuable players by selling them cheaply and get junk in returns, ie. Nunez? we can demand for cash!

Cause we haven't paid much for them in the 1st place and they haven't performed while they have been at the club.
I am still amazed we got something for Nunez, Voronin etc at all!

21) Okay just one more...can't rafa make 1 right decision in this season?
20 matches and 10 win...haha...what a joke!!!

EITHER KENNY DALGISH OR MOURINHO, I WELCOME YOU !!![B]

And we will win 0 trophies with god himself as manager if we countinue our spend the last 3 transfer windows!
