McLeish ffs no way..good man manager that cant get a lot out of players but he has not got the experience required to manage LFC.That would be a major step back IMO.You gotta love the papers just cause Brum are doing well and punching well above their weight they are linking him with us!

Agree

Its just paper talk, take no notice, it will be Moyes next!

Its a no brainer for me, put Kenny back in charge.
Its the end of the road for Rafa and he has to go now, sad but true.  :(

Putting kenny in charge stinks of a gordie-like KK knee-jerk,

get real, the game has changed immensly.

Just a quick tip, the 'K' in Knee does not make the 'n' sound and of course it doesn't make the 'K' sound.

The 'Kn' in knee is a diagraph where two letters make one sound, in this case the 'n' phoneme.

So next time you should type it like this: kn kn knee.

:D

You're living in dream world if you think that this board represents most fans.

Maybe you should stop reading the papers and listening to idiot pundits.

Sadly to say Lando but that is exacly what a lot of our fan base have become, SKY SPORTS DICIPLES,

Ok i know there are fans who dont support the manager , thats down to them, its there choice, But anyone who thinks that this forum, (an im sorry mods, )  is speaking for the majority of the fans , yes they are deluded,

The view of most on the members of this forum is that he should go.
if it would be put to a vote on this forum then he would get the sack.

outside the forum there has been a big swing to sack him over the last 24hrs. but there are still lots that stand by him......but one by one we are shooting them......lol

Lakes you maybe correct THIS FORUM, Now i dont want to cause controversy here by saying this but how many people on this forum are regular matchgoers, This Forum is for fans worldwide , Alot of the other forums ,OTK , TLW, THE Rattle , and you could say alot on RAWK , MOST of there members are matchgoers, Alot of these ssn polls you see are with votes from bitters, mancs and any other tom dick an harry fan, I have said already there are loads who want him gone an that is there right and ill respect them , but its also my right to support the manager without being called clueless . or an idiot ,

Your gonna need alot of bullets then  :;):

I goto the games and used to have a season ticket until a few years back, I see where your coming from but just because someone doesn't always goto the games doesn't mean their opinion isn't valid, many of the fans at Anfield feel the same as the fans on this forum but they still goto the games because like most reds they will support the team through thick and thin.

All this name calling and people questioning the members on this forum needs to stop, yeah some people post some cr3p on here (I do sometimes) but we all have our opinions and you can't blame people calling for Rafa's head, we are out of pretty much every competition and the cracks are starting to show, you can't even say were creating chances and playing decent footie either cos were not, every team goes through a rough spells but this is beyond a joke.

Jerry's final thought: let people have their say but if you don't agree please be diplomatic unlike Lando and his tourettes  :eyebrow

Alan Hansen: If Liverpool lose at Stoke on Saturday, something may have to give
The fact that Rafa Benítez is only the fourth manager at Anfield since Liverpool last won the league championship 20 years ago tells its own story.

Under pressure: Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is under increasing strain after his side crashed out of the FA Cup to Reading on Wednesday Photo: REUTERS
No club show more loyalty to their managers than Liverpool and that has been borne out by actions rather than words throughout those 20 years.

If Benítez were managing any club other than Liverpool, he would be a goner, but that is not the way that they do things at Anfield. Results are the ultimate criteria for judging managers, however, and even though I don’t think Liverpool will get rid of Benítez, if they lose again at Stoke on Saturday, maybe something will have to give.

The defeat against Reading was the latest in a long line this season. Fulham, Portsmouth, the draw at Blackburn. People are looking for light at the end of the tunnel, but there isn’t any.

There are three possibilities facing Liverpool now. They can make a change, appoint an interim manager and then make a permanent appointment in the summer. They can keep Rafa until the summer and then make the change or they can decide to keep him indefinitely.

At the moment, you would have to say that you could toss a coin on any of them.

I have never called for any manager to be sacked and I am not going to start now. Results and performances are what decide the fate of every manager.

But Benítez is probably under as much pressure now as Graeme Souness, Roy Evans and Gerard Houllier put together. The three things that have ensured he is still in place are the patience of the board, the loyalty of the supporters and money.

Having only signed a five-year contract last March, it has been suggested that it could take upwards of £20 million to compensate Benítez should be dismissed, so that would clearly be a major stumbling block. If the club are struggling to come up with £10 million for players, then how can they afford to make a change of manager?

The patience of the club’s hierarchy is underlined by that statistic of four managers in 20 years, while the supporters have been sensational in backing Benítez.

It is the supporters who I believe hold the key to his future. When they began to drift away in the final days of the Houllier era, it prompted the club to act and make a change. At some point, those same fans will have a cut-off point when they decide that going to Anfield is no longer for them.

When tickets suddenly become available in the two to three days before Premier League games, that is when the number crunchers start to look at things. That is what happened to Houllier. The Liverpool fans are ultra-patient and that is why Benítez is still there.

He cannot point to the money he has to spend in the transfer market as an excuse for the situation Liverpool find themselves in. He may not be able to spend big money, but while none of his £5-8 million buys have worked out: you only have to look at Patrice Evra and Nemanja Vidic at Manchester United to realise that there is a real value within that price bracket.
All of Liverpool’s present players, with the exception of Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, have been brought in by Benítez, so it’s not as though he can claim to have inherited somebody else’s squad.

One of the biggest mysteries is how Liverpool have gone from being so good last season to so bad now, but it all comes back to the fact that those players on the pitch are Benítez’s players and most of them aren’t good enough and don’t appear to have the heart for it.

Some fans would love to see Kenny Dalglish take the helm again on an interim basis and I know that Liverpool is in Kenny’s blood.

If he was asked, I’m sure he would do it, but Kenny will not want to go down that route because he is 100 per cent behind Benítez.

What everybody wants to see is some leadership on the pitch and for results to improve, but at the moment, there is nothing.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Now, enjoy your fruitless debate. The summer will come, and he'll still be here, and that is one thing I've not been wrong about in past situations like this.

Well i can appreciate that it seems a personal victory for you mate...but how does it benefit LFC?

Rafa is just not working for us lad...its fuc'king pitiful.

I cant understand anyone supporting him anymore..its not loyalty, its not the LFC way and its not right.FFS the man was in bits last night being interviewed. He needs to go for his own state of mind as well as the good of LFC.

Work hard, train for next game,we have quality and all that...ffs mate,he is gonna put us in more trouble and himself in a nuthouse sucking paella through a straw getting electric shocks in a red straight jacket singing ferry across the mersey with gary neville as a nurse, and jim bowing flashing the premier league cup saying look at what you could have won...not even able to get his BFH!

Its done, its gone, its tragic but he has to go!

Thats brilliant Baz - cheered me up in a weird way

Paul the post i was responing to was Lakes point about most of the members on this forum want him gone,An what i was trying to explain was well it looks like i never explained very well, is , As you said you go the match, well you must agree that it will be the fans at the match who will decide when rafa has to go and not a Newkit forum, An yes he has lost confidence and loads have had enough but from what i can see mate when i am at the game he still has the majority support, Yes i know that could turn in the next game, but it will be fans at the match who decide and not phoneins , ssn ,or Football forums,
There ive explained meself better now, i think  :;):

I dont get the match very often but me mates go everywhere.
They were saying the other night that its time for a change, they dont usually talk like that either so i do think things are changing on that front nan.

Although this is only a few lads, they have been staunch Rafa fans in the past and wouldnt hear of him going. They were not slagging him off though, just saying he looks like he doesnt know how to turn things around and that.

I am being told that on another forum there is a report by a member that they trust that one of our owners has been in contact last night with another manager about coming to the club.
is this old thing going to kick off again, i am not shocked that our owners are having a look but just wished they could do it without others finding out or sack our manager firsts before it all comes out in the press and makes our club look silly again, out owners never seem to get things like this right.

Mourinho loves special tradition clubs, when he go into Chelsea he just felt pressure by the owner because of that he left.

What we can offer him is the freedom and the greatest support from fan...as we are still the best fan in the world...no? look how we succeed in coming back king, without the 12th player, where were the team now.

so now, we have this voice to sack rafa out , well ...in rafa we trust some might say, but honestly rafa has made a lot of mistakes...

20 FACTS TO SACK RAFA

1)Jack Hobbs is good , Warnock is better even....and he sold them off.

2)WHY HE SOLD HAMANN in the first place?

3)Peter Crouch could worth more to us, but he still sell him off.

4)Keane should be played more often but he still sell him off. Now we don't have good finisher?

5)Hypia, must be a prophet something....he left and no one scores header for us anymore lolz !!!

6)Arbeloa is good...well, at least not too injury prone...who the hell carra scold him off...and he went to be first team for RM.

7)Alonso, Okay 30m is good deal...but Aqualani injury prone, din't they give better scouting? I think there are some players which has the ability like Aquaman right? Perhaps we can even get Ronaldinho for that price tag!!!

8) Momo sissoko, okay...at least he can head unlike masch. BETTER THAN LUCAS OK!!! at least he scores a goal before?

9) Voronin...Babel...Pennant...okay these bad apples who team don't own them? LOL alan smith for an example?

10) THE GREATEST MISTAKE RAFA DID IS.... HE FUKED OFF THE GREATEST TRAINER IN THE WORLD.

PAKO AYESTERAN..(duno spell correctly or not)

when this guy around, look how tough our team is. We are famous for possessions and toughness as team. Team hardly beat us because of what? We don't afraid of holding ball...now....one tackle then patah kaki lolz.

11) Hmm...of course...where the hell is Dossenna now? Arent he supposed to make Aquaman adapt the english culture...haha he went back home!!! and the money at least could be used for MOURINHO salary?

12) Lack of height nuffsaid. Lucas and mascherano is too short for BPL!

13) Oh yeah, where the hell is our Guthrie that has the ability to be first team in rich club as well? He sold him off for lucas? Okay, maybe Guthrie is not a good boy perhaps.

14) Bellamy, why the hell sell him off and we can't even get a decent wing since then. his attack is sharp and look how he did in Man city, okay...rafa stuborness can't control him? Laughing stock!

15) Risse, could have sell him for higher price tag. He is still red, although he scores an own goal which cost the team...

16) Steve Finnan...why he can't obey like John O shea did...even wes brown also not in first team yet they can obey SAF command when to play and when not to. man management problem?

17) Okay...previous season ppl can bla bla bla how good performance our team to climb to 2nd spot.

OH RLLLY??? how many times we came back winning in the last minute??? How many times Alonso is the saviour? making players makan red card? and don't forget that time Chelsea is facing problem, and Arsenal too. Man Utd came behind and lead us...and we lost to middlesbrough 2-0 home!!! crazy ain't? while chasing title and we lost to tottenham and middlesbrough which is the LOWEST RANK IN LEAGUE THAT TIME!!!

18) The joke about Rafa is...

He USED 80% OF THE PREVIOUS TEAM BY GERRARD HOULIER TO WIN CUPS.

ie. UEFA champion , super cup, fa cup...eh no more ady?

19) Our lucky star luis garcia gone....aih nvm la, but at least Baros shouldn't be gone??? Why liverpool never can keep players with loyatly ie. Giggs , and Scholes, Brown and Oshea...

20) OKAY...SO LIVERPOOL IS A POOR CLUB. Why the hell in the first place we have lost so many valuable players by selling them cheaply and get junk in returns, ie. Nunez? we can demand for cash!

21) Okay just one more...can't rafa make 1 right decision in this season?
20 matches and 10 win...haha...what a joke!!!

SNN seem to think it will only cost us 10mil to sack him due to poor results, i take it that if we sacked him when he was getting good results that it would have cost us 20mil.

trying to loog into my old press accounts but can not get the id right, not used them for years, bloomburg was the last one i used and that was linked to Reuters.
only get 2 more tries and then i am blocked lol.

if Rafa leaves, 20M will be gone just like that...and we risk the season
If Rafa does not leave, he'll ask another 20M for new players....and based on his record signings, it won't do much good....and we risk the season as well...

bottom line is

WE'RE F*CKED!!!

the only hold up in him getting the sack is getting the a new manager, once that has been sorted he will be sack, sometime ago a plan got out to the press saying that the club did not wish sammy lee to be put in place for a lot of games.

if something could be sorted there then i think he will be sacked asap.

it seems the club do not wish to have a kenny and sammy in a part time managers role for too long....if any.

Maybe if you spent as much time on putting across an arguament as you do insulting and swearing you'd actually have a point somewhere.

What manager would I go for?
Id take Kenny, I'd take Keegan, I'd even take Sammy ee at the moment. Someone who actually seems to care about the game and can get the players playing again.

I think Rafa should be fired but Keegan? Lee? ARe you determined to keep the tradition of krap managers ? - why not Souness again?
