Lookd to me like they just weren't er.sed last night.
Torres gets a bit of a roughing up and decides he's had enough. Gerrard decides there's no way we'll score with the tripe left on the pitch.
Bad, bad, bad attitude from both of them...

Can you honestly blame them? I've worked in companies which have bad leaders and the morale is :censored:,the end result is that you work only as much as you have too. I've also worked in companies with great inspirational leaders where everybody puts in 110%!
Gerrard and Torres are world class and for them to be in the dumps you know there is a lot more going on than we know about. Rafa must leave and if he loved the club even 1% as much as we all do then he'd do the honourable thing and resign but I doubt he will, he#s far too arrogant greedy and stubborn.

RAFA is less than 10% to blame? How do you work out the percentage he is to blame?

The players dont wanna play for him, he has brought the wrong players, we are out of everything we were in. If EVER there was time for change it's now.

Lando, I gotta commend your stance but you're just being stubborn now and you gots to open them eyes

How do you conclude that the players don't want to play for him? The effort was there for all to see!
The point about Torres and Mascherano getting Maxi in no matter who is the gaffer is complete a*se aswell, as Mascherano wants to leave!

SHAKE YOUR HEADS!!!

This media campaign is getting ridiculous now, as well. They can all f*ck off with their dirty little agendas. :no

Sorry but I'm confused, why do the media want to get rid of Rafa, apart form the obvious reason that they want to see Liverpool playing good football again.

BTW I didn't see the effort from the players, so it wasn't for all too see. In any case if they were putting in the effort then why did we not win, are they untalented_ If they are untalented then who's fault is that? Surely you can't claim that Reading have more funds and a better squad than us?

No the answer is simple,Rafa is a cancer who will kill the whole club if he is not cut out immediately, with Rafa we will not get 4th, Stevie, Torres, Mascha and reina will leave and we will be mid/table for many many years to come.

I actually feel sorry for Rafa, the players to me have given up and were a disgrace.
Having said that he signed these players and he is the manager. The man charged with motivating them and in tough times installing belief etc.
He has clearly not been able to do that this season.
We have had a lot of key players injured that havent helped but again the squad is his squad.
He has shaped it over 5 years and if we cant cope with injuries then the buck stops with him.
We are weak in the same areas that we were 5 years ago and these have not been addressed.
When i got sent the team yesterday by my mate i wasnt that concerned. I thought it was definately strong enough to beat a lowly championship side at home.
I thought the players would come out with fire in their bellies as this was our last chance of winning something on note this season. With united already out and a decent draw next round this was a chance that was there for the taking.
Get some confidence back with a 3 or 4 goal win.
But the players are that devoid of confidence and he (Rafa) appears to not have any idea how to turn it round that we are in a truly awful position.

There is no way that he should be getting called a waiter and slagged off though. The man has put everything he could into this club.
Embraced the city and tried to get us back where we feel we belong.
He brought us the champions league which meant we got to keep the trophy. All that deserves respect.
He should be fondly remembered for what he acheived initially and for what he wanted to achieve too.

But he does need to go, he has had his chance and didnt quite get there. Its a shame and i genuinely wish he could have succeeded, but imo he will always come up short and someone else deserves a chance.
The club comes first.

In a few years people who are supporting him will understand that he had come as far as he could and he will be looked on like Houllier as a decent fella who tried his hardest but wasnt quite able to do what he or we wanted.

Good post, Ben.

Particularly the bit about expecting the players to come out with fire in their bellies, get a few goals and move onto Stoke. Or at least a win. Too many times I've had the same feelings of expectation before, only to feel completely crestfallen afterward - and it's not as if expecting us to dispatch Reading in over three hours of football is being overly demanding. Neither is it to expect us to still be in the UCL and in with half a chance of a title challenge.

We've been stuck in this habit for a very long time. You could even point to the opening few games where we lost to Spurs, then hammered Stoke, then put in a pretty dismal effort against Villa. Already two inauspicious defeats. We just about recovered things after that with another hammering of a lowly side in Burnley, sandwiched between the two spirited comebacks so far this season against Bolton and W. Ham. A low to an unconvincing 'high' preceded the four consecutive defeats that really fecked us into this downward spiral that we've been stuck in ever since. Thereafter, the occasional massive high - beating Man U, the bitters, Villa, was followed by massive lows, week after week - going out with a whimper against Fulham, Arsenal, Portsmouth, Fiorentina among others... and now Reading. It seems that at best we can manage two 'acceptable' results on the bounce, but sooner or later we make an 'epic fail'.

Its not always about Rafa Lando.

By the way i love the way you just spout loads of insulting rubbish when you try and make a point.
Two people on here have called Rafa what you said not all of the people that are suggesting its time he moves on.
Most of us have agreed that its out of order calling him that.
One person called Mourinho a master tactician.
I dont think he is, what i do think he has in bundles that our manager doesnt though is man management.
He would instill some belief in these players and get them fired up (IMHO)

But then again i am one of the imbeciles so you will probably ignore this.

Did I say you had said it? No.

Did I say every anti had said it? No.

Did I say more than 1 person had called that c*nt a master tactician? No.

So you're right - I WILL ignore you as you're talking b*llocks.[/quote]
No but you generalised.
You said the anti's, i am anti, i am calling for his head so its easy to conclude why i felt part of your pathetic tirade was about me.

You need to grow up lad, and thats not trying to getting some argument over the net.
Its ridiculous that you cant defend the manager without resorting to what you do.
My guess is you couldnt even back it up if it wasnt online but thats irrelevant.

It is a football forum where people will post opinions, post yours and get on with it without all your usual shabite.

can we stop grouping all the so called 'antis' in the same camp please? I dont want Rafa at Liverpool anymore but I don't want to be associated with some of the drivel they come out with at times
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing

Spot on mate!....it's a pity so many fans on here are easily fooled into believing the same old speel spewed out by Rafa and co. If he had any respect for our great club then he would do the honourable thing......and resign!...but the stuborn man wont......and he will contiue to take us down into the aybis of no return, by keeping him on till may we will find ourselves finishing mid-table at best, and out of the europa cup the moment we meet an half decent team.  :nod

"mourinho is a master tactician"... "f*ck off you fat spanish waiter"... "the players don't want to play for him anymore"...

Rub your f*cking eyes, you thick c*nts. Moris has NEVER been a capable tactician - his idea of tactics is to throw a centreback upfront when things aren't going well.

Did you cretins not watch the matches he played against us? His only other "tactic" is to buy every good player going so his rivals can't match him.

Fat Spanish waiter? You bunch of racist scumbags. You should all be f*cking shot, you classless, morally inept f*cktards.

The players don't want to play for him? Was it effort which was lacking last night, then? Or confidence? Because if you think it was the former you're seriously in need of psycological care. If Rafa has lost the dressingroom, why did Torres and Mascherano not tell Maxi Rodriquez to steer well  clear?

You bunch of f*cking morons - you don't think, do you? You grasp - at anything and everything you can to get rid of the man you all hate because, simply, he's just better than you. You cant bear to see this club run by someone you can't relate with.

THAT'S why you all want Moris - because he, too, is a c*nt of the highest order, with no morals, no loyalty and a chip on his shoulder the size of Frank Lampard's gut.

Maybe they persuaded a player to come and sign because they dont care who the manager is next season or for the rest of this season.

Are you feeling a bit lonely as the only person left supporting Rafa, actually maybe you are Rafa, you make about as much sense as the great one does in post match interviews. Why the hell is it that other managers can arrive from other countires and within a few weeks have a better grasp of English than our genius manager who according to you gets the effort out of the players yet takes away any natural footballing skills which they posess or maybe Reading is just a fantastic team, like all the other teams who have beaten us this season are.

Can you explain to me some of Rafa's tactical genius because I must have missed it so far this season, in what way is Rafa a master tactician? How on earth can you still be supporting Rafa, is it just to be contrary or perhaps you don#t want to see Liverpool FC win anything?

BTW I can't believe we were all as fans so excited to see Aquaman play, I actually now forgive Rafa for delaying his debut, he is worse than Lucas ffs!

So you think he was a star player then? I#m being serious we paid a lot of money for a player who has been injured half the season and we finally see twinkle toes he has no idea how to control a football or how to tackle an opposing player. So far I am very unimpressed with Aquaman, although I have to say that Lucas is getting a bit better but it's kind of like saying one fart smells less bad than another.  :D

Really doesn't have a clue as to how it has comes to this....I strongly believed Rafa had put a lot of time in trying to make his team better. You can see he cares. But the players are not responding. Rafa was very stubborn in playing players that shouldn't be starter and had blind faith in them. If these are the players that has got Rafa's backing then they should at least play hard. Everything just doesn't make sense since no one really cares....Just can't find any more words to say. Really feel sad as we had the greatest fans and should deserves better. From top to bottom, nothing is going right. We just hope we as liverpool fans locally or globally needs to stick together and ride this out. YNWA!
