When we finally get our 1st team together we'll be back on top challenging. Just think, we've lost Gerrard and Torres to injury basically all season with niggles and groin problems flaring up every 45 seconds, Johnson is out, Aquilani has been injured and Mascherano is suspended along with a host of other injuries and plain bad luck. We can get our first team back in order and we have been recently showing signs of our past seasons performances.

I think in a month when Torres and Gerrard are fit and everyone else + Aquilani gets some games under his belt we'll be sitting pretty. I dont think its Rafa's fault.

There's no hiding from the fact our whole entire squad has been constantly bashed around with injury problems that Rafa has no control over and then we go and conceed a goals in the 92nd min of what seems like every game. Last season we should of come 1st and it was all because of Rafa. Winning every game at the back end 4-0 and 5-0 against R. Madrid, Utd, Villa. Rafa is one of the best managers in the World and if it wasnt for Houlliers squad he inherited he wouldn't of had to spend so much money on building practically an entire squad from sratch.

Muzza, i get your point, but at the same time you just highlighted one of, if not THE main problem. 2 players out and the teams no more than a mid-table team, Rafas had 5 years to change that and it looks like he failed. Last year was our year and he blew it.

If he could produce that sort of form he would derserve to.
Just don't see it.
The team seem to be lacking in confidence and ideas.
Picking out of form players regularly, predictable substitutions and a squad that is ultimately falling short.

I always thought giving him until the end of the season was best but after tonight I think his time is up, injuries or not we should have much better back up to the so called top players.

The players obviously aren't playing for him.

We are all entitled to our views and this is a forum to express our views.

It is good that there is some support for Rafa so that all sides of the argument can be aired.

To be fair tho when they went off we were playing quality football for 20 mins. Yh they're are 2 best players but we've beaten Utd without them confortably and we play just aswell without them as we do with them minus the finnishing ability. Ngog is a quality striker and a solid player imo and Degan is a quality replacement. Ive always thought he's been a good player and tonight he backed up my thoughts. We do have a good squad. With Maxi and possibly Chamahk/Jones we will definitely have a very strong bench.

Houllier basically left Rafa with a train wreck of a squad with the likes of Traore liitered throughout. Yh Rafa has spent money but they guy has basically has to spend all of it building an entire squad from nothing. Not like Fergy who has built his team over 20 years or Chelsea who can afford to spend 30 mil on like 6 or 7 players. Rafa is a good guy and attracks players like Maxi to the club. If we had MON for example we wouldnt have the same pulling power.
