Liverpool Football Club - Games

The once "fortress Anfield" witnesses another defeat as we bow out of GH's favourite competition. As one door into Europe closes another appears on the horizon, the fair play trophy and a place in next season's UEFA Cup is still firmly in Houllier's sights.
THERE'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW SHINING AT THE END OF EVERY DAY.
THERE'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW AND TOMORROW IS JUST A DREAM AWAY.

It was almost inevitable after the good result on sunday that we would blow it tonight.I was looking forward to cardiff as well.Three goals at home to bolton, can it get any worse?
probably.

Trouble is we're drifting and there is no hope left to cling onto. We could say we're unbeaten at home but we're not even difficult to beat at Anfield these days. We could say we rarely concede three in a game but that isn't true either. We could say we raise our game against the top three but we've lost all three. We could say there's always the cup but even those prospects are running out. We cling to the hopes of claiming fourth place but we're not even ahead of our modest rivals. To be honest chaps, what is there to look forward to?

Answer - the departure of Houllier and the arrival of success
