We turned down £9M for Babel, do you think we want to keep him? or really do want £12M for him.
it looks like the maxi transfer will be a permanent one.
anyone guess how much Balotelli would cost?

set piece specialist and very good skills
He's even lazier than Babel, if that's possible....

Havent seen much of him but from the little i've seen he seems to be a good player... Direct and wouldnt take any time to adapt to the pace and physicality of the league...
Another player we should be in for is Patrick Vieira... I think his deal to ManCity is almost done, but i cant understand why we didnt go for him especially with our situation and with his contract running out soon..
If we could have managed to get Vieira, Maxi and Beckford (all for peanuts but relatively high wages) it would have gone a long way towards solving our problems at least in the short term...

20+ mill? I doubt inter will want to sell, and he is probably out of our price range.

LIVERPOOL are ready to rival Arsenal in the battle to sign Bordeaux’s highly-rated striker Marouane Chamakh.
The Moroccan striker has been the subject of much speculation this season and is keen on a move to the Premier League determined to eager to sign a pre-contract.
Chamakh has long been linked with a move to Arsenal but the Gunners have not followed up their initial interest yet with a firm bid and that has alerted Rafa Benitez.
It is no secret the Liverpool manager wants to add to his strike force and Chamakh, a highly-rated 25-year-old, has ticks in all the right boxes, especially as he is on a Bosman.
He is eager for his future to be sorted out sooner rather than later – preferably during this transfer window – and the Reds are ready to give him a chance in the Premier League.
Chamakh’s contract with Bordeaux runs out this summer and he is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs during January.
If Liverpool were to be successful in the pursuit for his signature, however, he would not move to Anfield until the end of the current campaign.
These Chamakh rumours seem to have a tad more substance about them it seems ,I for one would be delighted if this one came off he reminds me so much of Ibrahimovic in his style of play
