Now that my post cannot be seen due to the glitch, I admit that I have been converted to antirotationism.  :D

Without that meaning not changing the team never, etc, etc, etc.

It's odd really when you think about it that our form has been pretty average, we've rotated aplenty and it's barely merited a mention. I think few would argue that changes to the team not forced upon us by injury have been a significant contributor to our poor form, it has been a host of other stuff but hand on heart I don't think it's been down to rotation to any great degree. You could probably make a good case for us not getting ourselves bedded in during the pre season period, particularly given the fact our opening fixture was always going to be tough, but other than that there hasn't been too many instances which have made the eyebrows shoot up.

The one change from a selectorial point of view which I think would have made a fairly big difference would have been playing Gerrard in central midfield in preference to Lucas. I really do think that would have made a significant difference, but other than that selection has been the least of our worries and that's saying something coming from me.

I'm guessing it because he didn't have the players to rotate at Fulham - he chopped and changed his team during the early rounds of the Europa league

I actually think he will rotate, much more so than someone like me would like (as if he gives a feck but anyway). I don't think we'll see 75 changes to the first team in the first 15 matches of the season or anything like that, but I think there will be a little "resting" here and there. As I've said a couple of times, people expecting Roy to play 4-4-2 every week and stick to the same eleven and system are in for a huge shock. It's the one area of his modus operendi which makes me nervous.

You only have to take five minutes to read up about him on the internet to see that far from being devoted to any one style, he has altered the way his teams set up from week to week and from game to game. Of all the daft and ill informed stuff people were posting up about him a couple of weeks back, the "tactically inept" accusation was the farthest from the truth. He is the opposite to that.

I hope he doesn't get too carried away with it, and he listens to the "sports science" people but reserves the right to make his own decisions based on good old common sense.

Perhaps the difference between rednose rotation and rafa rotation is that rednose had more quality to rotate
