 On the Gerrard observations. unbelieveable that two people can watch the same game and come to completely different conclusions.

I think its because he can concentrate on what he's good at breaking up play. When Lucas plays beside him he has to try to create as well.

well tonight gerrard is playing as poor as lucas has played all season and creating nothing and give masher lots of work to do with loosing the ball numerous times  - yossi is creating most of the good stuff tonight

I disagree with you 1000% but that's all good.

which bit - im sorry but i will be very surprised if anyone thinks gerrard tonight as been anything but poor or below that . lossing possesion , giving away free kicks , poor choices of passes - everything other players get a right slagging for . if your little bit you said about him twisting was the wrong choice and he should of played it in first time when he had time and space and men in the box waiting instead his little turn gave the right back time to close him down

Or should we rather keep him on the bench and only bring on if truly necessary (ie - GOD FORBID - they score)? Am genuinly asking as I haven't seen any of the match myself.

Weve got a lot of games comin up over the next couple of weeks, Tbh id leave him let him get sorted proper ready for the fight over the chrimbo

I reckon that would be the best option aswell. Hopefully he won't HAVE to come on at some point.

He has been poor by HIS standards, by Lucas standards he has been excellent mate. He has got the team moving forwards on their toes rather than on their heels. (imo )

guess we will have to agree to disagree then . and hope he improves in the second half

and the one thing lucas helps is keeping possesion in the midfield something we have failed to do so far this game

 Do you think if you asked matinez whether he'd prefer to have Lucas on for the second half or leave Gerrard on who's playing "awful", who do you think he'd rather have on :D
