I'm not going to get into a "I told you so" scenario, because not only is it not helpful it's not accurate either. Had the ball bounced different and one or two errors not been made last season, we could conceiveably have won the Premiership. That it didn't happen doesn't mean that those of us who are none believers were right all along. In my case I was happy to concede at the time I was wrong partially simply because we got as close as we did.

The issue if there is one is like after Istanbul, we haven't kicked on and don't look like kicking on, the manager must IMHo bare the brunt of the responsibility.

we sold alonso and didn't replace him with an equal which means we are weaker than last year and if we warn't good enough last year we certainly arn't going to be good enough this year

yes im pretty sure i counted correctly. i guess they are under the impression that things will get worse when/if he leaves but i really dont see how much more worse it can get.

otherwise, they are worried about who will take over. Klinsmann has been mentioned many times. Mourinho is fan's top choice. Hiddink is the other name while Bilic and Blanc have been mentioned too.

ps: thanks Sabre :D

Nanny, what are your fears should rafa be sacked? why is there so much fervent support for him despite his obvious limitations? he is a nice guy no doubt and deserves respect but i feel he should leave with his integrity in tact rather then continue what looks like a possible barren spell and all those support for him diminishes.

Just to be clear, I think Rafa should leave--now if we can get a suitable replacement (and I would be prepared to give Dalglish a go as caretaker) or, failing that, at the end of the season.

BUT

I am not and will never be a part of TEAM fecking GO.  I've hated the whole notion of dividing people into teams/camps and treating the fate of our manager like some big competition from the outset and I still find it pathetic.  Anyone out there that is enjoying Rafa's demise, that wishes to crack jokes about the man that has led us honourably for five plus years or that is going to use this dark period for the club as an opportunity to say 'I told you so' can get to f.uck.  The vultures can queue up for their TEAM GO souvenir membership cards.  I prefer to keep my dignity, thanks.

i can't speak for anyone else but i will try to say why i have said i want him to stay

1) i like the guy, i think he does love the club and when i watch him in after match interviews or when ever (and this might just be me) but i see pain in his eyes when we have lost

this season i still see that pain even after we have won, i think this is due to the fact he knows we are still not where we should be even with a win.

this season has been so poor for us it is unreal and that is the pain i see in his eyes, he hates the fact that having come so close last year we are not short of sh*t this year and a mile behind the team we were last season

2) i like EVERYONE know that he has spent a lot of money on players that have not made it, and when you look at those players you think what the hell was he thinking but!! when he has got those players they would not have been his first name on the list

for what ever reason he has had to review who he has had to bring in ( IMHO ) many times, this can not help him, we lost alonso this year but if we think back to the year before he tried and failed to get barry who although not as good as alonso would have done ( imo ) a good job for us, we would not then be waiting for aqua man to be fit this season and would not be a man down, which has cost us dear!!

without going on about it i think he has lost out on players he really wanted due to the lack of funds AT THE RIGHT TIME , what i mean by that is we paid 19/20mill for keane which would have been better spent on barry (again imo) as one example

this is not to say he has not made mistakes in the market, not by a long way but every manager does it yes even the wonderful red nose tw*t and Mourinho, it seems when he has done it it shows up more??

3) on the point of Mourinho some, well many have said they would like him as are manager and that is fine he is a great manager BUT there is no way on this earth he would come to are club in the state it is in now, not a chance in hell no top manager would which is what we would want/need if he went

and that is why i think we have to stick with rafa as he knows what to expect from tw*t and tw*t now and is still trying to work through it, he knows full well that at every turn they will be there to pull the carpet from under his feet and for some god known reason, trying to feck him up the as* at every chance they get.

4) again i just like the guy!! many of you might not but i do!! and i just have my fingers crossed that he can turn things around and that we can get 4th spot this year and maybe a cup ( who knows ) and that tw*t and tw*t find someone to buy them out, someone that does love the club and who will come in and supports rafa and gives him the tools needed to do his job

just my thought but hell what do i know :;):
