Jose mourinho. - Miracle or myth.

The Premiership - General Discussion

Postby made in UK » Sat Nov 14, 2009 3:40 am

Someone has suggested Rafa will be off at the end of the season no matter what happens. And I believe Mourinho has a soft spot for Liverpool.

But I couldn't envisage him or many other top-class managers working with our owners, this is a massive stumbling block. Mourinho will want money to make the squad better and our penny pinchers would deter him from the job. Manchester United will probably be the team he heads off to if any, I think he appreciates the culture and traditions of said clubs something he knew Chelsea didn't have.

Sorry to bud in, and it might be unimportant in the context of things but I don't believe Shevchenko was past it when he came to Chelsea. He just scored 28 goals in Serie A the previous season and had a decent World Cup captaining Ukraine to quarterfinals. Mourinho just preferred Drogba and also the way Chelsea played didn't really suit Shevchenko. Things like these can always happen to any striker. Once the manager didn't show enough trust in him, he lost his confidence and form and passion. Simple as that.

I believe a similar thing happened to Robbie Keane. But in his case, he tried to be fancy and tried to do too much when he was given the chance. It is not very far-fetched to believe that this didn't sit too well with Rafa. But then again, I'm sure there are other aspects of the Keane Saga we are unaware of.

You would like to think it was because of our situation wouldn't you?  :D

To tell you the truth I wouldn't mind if Mourinho became our manager even though he was very contemptuous of LFC when he was at Chelsea, purely on the grounds that he is a good manager. But I don't believe he will come to LFC as his ego fits better with the mancs... and just notice how he is always praising Sir Alex...

If he goes to the mancs we may have to forget about winning the title for another 20 years. :(

If it's any consolation, Inter got done 2-0 at Barca and will need to get a result in their last game to go through. Given they are Champions League motivated, there could be some special managers available for us soon should we need one.

Unfortunately I think they will probably win their last game and got through.

You shouldn't hold that loss against the mighty one though Mick, afterall not many managers get away from Nou Camp with a win :;):

On a serious note I reckon they'll still go through as you said, seeing as how they can make do with a draw at home against Rubin Kazan (unless Barca lose away to Kiev at the same time but that game still holds importance for Barca, so they probably won't). Even if Inter were to crash out, I still don't think they would sack Mourinho tbh.

They got in Mourinho to win them the Champ League and he doesn't look like bringing them any closer to it.

Well rubin have already managed to beat Barce at the nou camp and Barce beat Inter with two of their main players sat on bench .

Inter could easily join us in the Europa cup .
