Dont think its the case... but regardless, given our situation and the fact that we could realistically find ourselves in 9th position and around 8 point off 4th spot after the Arsenal game next week, i would think that NOW is the time for Rafa to be taking gambles on players who arent fully fit or arent match fit but could provide the difference...

Its a shame really.. 15 games in, we find ourselves only 3 points ahead of Birmingham, 4 ahead of Stoke and Sunderland who have a game in hand... Just to put things in perspective, if Chelsea had won today, we would have been closer to the club that sits bottom of the league than we are to the club sitting top...

For the first time this season ill say this... Arsenal game is a must win for a number of reasons...

Benitez needs to be shown the door simple as that.We need a vibrant manager who can light the fire with this group much like he did when he took the Champs League with Houlliers team.Face the inevitable, Rafa is old news at Anfield and we need a fresh outlook. For Christ Sakes this is not the 80s or early 90s and you do not hold on to duck eggs, you hire and fire and let the cards fall as they may.Is it not enough we have been embedded in the past for long enough now, lets move on, get with the real world and try something new. This guy is dragging us down, and to be honest he just aint that good and theres a string of better manangers out there as long as the Mersey waiting to take over. Get over it and accept the inevitable, we are going absolutey nowhere but backwards under this regime.

1. Aquilani has been fit for 3 weeks but Rafa will not play him untill the team is playing better, if he is in the team and we get beat Fans and the owners might think he was a bad buy and has been a waste of money.

2. Torres was asked by Rafa to have the op, Torres asked others their view and was told it was not needed, Rafa and Torres had a falling out over this, Torres has been ok to play in the last two games but Rafa has told Torres that as he is not having the op he must wait longer to play as just in case he is not better (just to :censored: Torres off for not having the op)

anyway thats what has been said by members of the press rooms.............but we know what they are like.

Dude...i am one of Benitez's biggest doubters in this forum...

But....really...what you're saying seems too farfetched. I don't think any manager in the world will attermpt to have a fallout with torres.....

Anyway...in the unlikely senario...what your're saying is true.....then He should be sacked right now.....not at the end of the season.

Any manager in the world will be able to happy to lead a team with has Torres, Gerrard, Reina & Macherano.

Wouldn't be surprised if they were Evertonians.

What if he's not fit?

Edit - sorry, of course he's fit.

I agree, though, either he is or isn't, but if he is, he should be playing and not just sat on the bench, which begs the question: if he's not match fit, why have him sit there? Only Rafa knows.

Believable claims are that Rafa wants a match situation that he can give Aquilani 10+ mins as sub in, but the way we're playing the only way we might be that comfortable is if Aquilani starts.

The problem yesterday was not an uncommon one, we were drawing but Rafa's bench beggars belief

GK Cavalieri
CB Kyrgiakos
CB Skrtel
LB Dossena
CM AQUILANI
AM El Zhar
CF N'Gog

So THREE defenders out of six outfield players, one of those outfield 'attacking' options being Aquilani who Rafa has wrapped up in cotton wool and exposing him to a bad case of piles by making him sit on the bench.

Has anyone been to a training session recently, because I wouldn't be surprised if Aquilani doesn't sit on a bench there in preparation for the next match!

I was expecting Rafa to bring on Aurelio except he wasn't on the bench, but why do we need two CBs on the bench?!?!??! Far too negative a line-up with a negative bench to boot. I was somewhat surprised Rafa brought on N'Gog so early, this was definitely a game we should have been looking to win.

1. its not me thats saying it, its a bbc reporter in liverpool

2. he is only still our manager now as the owners have not been able to get the guy they are looking for to be our manager (sort of my own view but based on a press report that was given to the bbc and sky a few weeks ago)

3. i would not be shocked if Rafa fell out with one of our best players............hey did he not do that at the start of the year and the player ended up leaving?

He must have lost the dressing room, that's the only reason we are so fricking poor lately. We are becoming an embarresment, not because of the yanks, but because of how we play and the results we are not getting.

Take last week, anyone notice the difference in the live games? Us v Neverton, Gooners V Cheatski, Barca V Madrid... our game could have been non league it was so poor

Of course he's lost the dressing room.
Raffa has a determination that will continue to back fire on him. He should never have let the Paco situation get out of hand. He should never have let the Alonso farce happen. The purchase of Aquilani is a joke
The man honestly believes in what he is doing but he just doesn't seem prepared to accept that some of his decisions are just plain wrong.
We must be up to "Plan Z" by now and no doubt we'll start back on "Plan A" next week.
I just want to see a team enjoying itself. The results are important but it is how we are playing that worries me most. We've a team of square pegs and a game plan full of round holes.
Something is about to change. The big meeting tomorrow should be made public just so we all know what's going on.

Its just that when i get info its better for me to post it so i get other members views on it, some might know if its true or not.
the press room are a strange place, they tend to get 1000 of reports aweek about clubs, most of it is :censored: but a lot of time it is based on some truth, there is a lot of other stuff i have not even posted as i know myself that its not true, like the report they got at 9pm last night saying that Rafa had been called into the club at 8:30 last night (i would take it he would not even be back in liverpool by that time so we know it is not true).
but sometimes there are reports that might have a lot of truth in them , dont forget that this is a bbc pressroom and they dont report a lot of the stuff that they get so by the time they have looked into it they often find its :censored:, but i get to hear it anyway but dont have a way of finding if its true apart from posting it on here and seeing what you all say.

as you see when its in my own view i say that now, so you know its my view just so things dont get mixed up like last time.

think youself lucky that my mates ML for Citybank lol

People have bought into this idea that it's all about the tiniest details, a misplaced pass here, an extra couple of centimetres in a jump there. To an extent it is, but it's also about a manager inspiring a bunch of players (good word that, "inspiring") to perform over and above their abilities.

Look at the Mancs this season. They've lost Ronaldo who love him or hate him was a fecking unbelieveable player for them. They've lost Tevez who was absolutely top quality. They replaced them with Antonio Valencia from Wigan, and Michael Owen on a free. They've had Ferdinand injured all season, Hargreaves injured for years, Scholes and Neville well past their best, Van Der Sar injured for most of the season, Vidic injured and well off colour, Berbatov not really firing, Anderson and Nani not really doing it etc etc etc etc. We gave them a good hiding at Anfield, and here they are right up there with Chelsea. Are they a great team? Are they feck. Are they miles better than us? Ditto.

The main difference it seems to me is that they are performing above and beyond their capabilities and we are performing well below ours. It's not about details in this situation, it's about inspiration. We ain't got none I'm afraid and the therefore it's the bloke who's job it is to inspire the players who is most at fault.

what i would say is that as nothing was said about our club on motd then something might be about to happen, the bbc tend to shut up shop just before they get big newsb on football team, they did this just before JM got the sack and west ham was sold. They find it best to stand on the safe side, as where SKY just report it without looking into it.

I was with a couple of guys last night who know someone who knows someone etc etc etc.
They're not bullshyters and apparently there's something going on tomorrow in the corridors of power.
It's going to be kept low key so nothing dramatic will be announced but a big change is coming !
