Not sure mate - just remember an article last season when he said there was money there but he didnt believe he needed to spend it cause he had a good enough squad .

But they sold Hleb for £11 million and Adebayour and Toure for over £40million.

Their idea is to buy talented players who they can "add value to".

Do you think they were sold for money reasons or other mate ? Adebayour had been looking to move , toure was no longer first choice and nearly wenger's 30 year old one year contract only rule and Helb wanted to go back abroad ?

I think he sells the players who he can balance the books with, who and how he picks them is up to him. He also said he would sell them to ANY CLUB.

If he had kept Ade' he would have had to sell someone else and Ade was probably his most saleable asset.(apart from maybe Fabregas who was also rumoured to be for sale at the time)

Anyway we've established that while we aren't going to win the league or even challenge for it, it's unlikely Arsenal will either. Neither will Bolton for that matter, or Wolves.

Like I said, "real fans" have modest ambitions.
