UPDATE

Tiger Woods Seriously Injured in Car Crash in Florida

Friday, November 27, 2009

Golf great Tiger Woods was seriously injured in a car accident in Florida early Friday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Woods, 33, is in the hospital in very serious condition after a single-car crash at 2:25 a.m. in which he hit a fire hydrant and then a tree, according to the FHP.

The crash is under investigation and charges are pending, but the crash was not alcohol-related, the highway patrol said in its accident report. It wasn't known if he was wearing a seatbelt.

Woods pulled out of his driveway in the Isleworth community when he struck the hydrant. He then plowed into the tree on his neighbor's property. He was taken to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Fla.

Woods was apparently traveling under 33 mph because the Cadillac Escalade's airbags didn't inflate, the FHP said

looks like he injured his pride.

Apparently, he it a fire hydrant near his home and then hit a tree. Charges are pending (strange one this). I wonder whether charges are pending against Tiger, as he was the only one involved in the incident.

Hope he is ok.

So, flirting with the water hazard but ending up in the trees?

Not a very good drive from Woods.

He ended up in the tree looking for a birdie

He got to the Ozzie an they found out hed been hit by an Eagle, But Dr Albert Ross said he was gonna be ok ,

Hes still felling under par but being back home on the range with a nice cupp of tee from his caddy he wont be fair away from being back in the open again.

BBC:

An unidentified woman has been taken away in an ambulance from a house on the street of the US golfer, Tiger Woods, in Florida, reports have said.

Local television stations in Orlando said a call for an ambulance had been received from Woods' home in the gated Isleworth community at 0236 (0736 GMT).

TV footage showed a woman being wheeled on a stretcher into a nearby hospital.

Last week, Woods apologised to his family for letting them down amid speculation about his private life.

The statement came days after he was found bleeding and semi-conscious after his car hit a tree and fire hydrant outside his home, and followed a story in a US gossip magazine that he had had a 31-month affair with a Los Angeles cocktail waitress.

The 14-time major champion has been married to his Swedish wife Elin, a former model, for five years. The couple have two young children.

What the hell is going on?
