I write FAO Reg, because I think my newkit mate knows a couple of things of the politics of the region.
But anyone can participate.
I'm left winged, but I think Chavez is the kind of guy that makes harm to the lefties.
Now he calls brother the Iranian president.
Yesterday he was elevating the tension with Colombia and make the war danger very real.
I think this man will eventually bring a war in the region. He's dangerous. What a twát, no wonder the Spanish King told him to "shut up will you"?
Any opinions on him?

personally i think the guy is an 
of the highest order, only interested in perpetuating his own personality cult. but having said that i don't really know too much about the complexities of venezuelan politics. my only experience of the country is spending 24 on a bus, almost missing my plane, and being frogmarched through security by two airport gorillas p!ssed off with me for not being able to pay my 'departure tax'.
i was chatting to a couple of venezuelan guys earlier this year, though, who were really supportive of him. they said that despite his annoying personal character he has done a hell of a lot for the poor and the farmers in terms of land rights and basic standards of living.

As for Chavez ? Tinpot dictator dressed up as a man of the people. It's all about his ego, He 's in love with himself and his position.
