This idea that once we heard Fiorentina had scored our heads went down is ridiculous and a damning endictment.

Agreed.

seriously, there is no way that if kenny came in and we lost a couple of games that he would get boo'd. Anyone who tried that would get tw@tted.
Rafa doesnt even get boo'd and he isnt a legend like the king.

Lets be honest tho, whoever came in couldnt do much worse, and that is ot trying to disrespect rafa.
I like him, but like with houllier the other year, the team has gone as far as it could.

We will all agree soon enough, despite what the staunch supporters feel now, believe me.

Its like history repeating itself for me.

Oh i wasnt suggesting he would be booed on the stands - far from it - that is where he would never get booed or turned against - its the phone ins , the forums around the place - thats where it would happen .

Kenny would be a gamble to say the least. Some still feel aggrieved at him walking away and feel he shares some of the blame for our downfall and ultimately the situation we are in now.

dont agree, unless he was even more of a disaster than Rafa is now.

So much wrong with tonight despite the win.
The lineup with 2 holding midfielders AGAIN !!
How and when does aquilani get fit ?

There is no excuses for tonights performance mate we were poor , every man on that pitch - as for aqualini maybe its still a risk with him - a risk that could be worth taking if we were loosing but not one to take when we were winning .

I'm playing FIFA 10 Live season with Aquilani & he is great, too bad that's the only way I can see him play.

we cant keep saying this mate, how the feck does he ever get fit ?

He should have been in tonight, none of this two holding players against the group whipping boys.
Hands the initiative straight back.
Especially when we play with one striker.

The team has been playing sh1t all season, we are out of the champions league, our title ambitions are all but over and we have 1 striker despite Rafa being in charge for 5 years. Gerrard and Carragher have both had issues with Rafa and I’m sure the shabby treatment of Alonso contributed to him leaving.

Rafa is losing a lot of the fans that were previously sitting on the fence who were prepared to overlook some serious deficiencies in his management style because he has some outstanding qualities.

I don’t see how he can turn it around unless he wins a cup AND our league form dramatically improves leading us to comfortably getting a top 4 spot.

I think Rafa will either walk at the end of the season or be pushed. I really think Rafa could have been more creative in the last few transfer windows with what he was given.

But we dont know what the risk is playing him is yet - as i said what happens if he isnt fully ready comes on and plays on that shitty pitch and gets injured again - then the manager gets the blame for taking the risk .

I too would of loved to have seen him play but they players we had on the pitch tonight were more than good enough to win that game comfortable and when a change was needed it should of been yossi on earlier .

So bringing him on with a minute to go helps him and the team how...?
