Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Move if you want MODS but this is a very critical week for them and us because if Kirkby does not get passed then a groundshare is on the cards.

How the feck have we come to this? Its obviously been discussed by both clubs otherwise Elstone wouldnt have said they havent got half of the 300 million and Warren w@nker Bradley would release the money from LCC.

I am finished with LFC if this ever happens finished it will be the final nail in the coffin.

*crosses fingers and toes Kirkby gets the go ahead*

New stadium becomes the top goal for Everton

Many believe that Everton should share a new stadium with Liverpool, its neighbour across Stanley Park. Mr Elstone said that while he had no objection on principle, half the £300m cost was too high. There could also be a dispute over naming rights.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

I live in Kirkby and we dont want the bitter fu'ckers up here
Its a disgrace that we should even be discussing a ground share with the tramps
Leave them in their shi'thole and do our own redevelopment of Anfield

Fk that, thing is though they dont want it either so dosent make a lot of sence.
I cant see it because the stadium is H&G`s pay day and they`ll want to make of the naming rights.

Report: Destination Kirkby Rejected
BREAKING NEWS
Sky Sports News [Link added] are reporting that Destination Kirkby, the Tesco-led regeneration scheme that includes a proposal for a new stadium for Everton, has been rejected by the Government following a public enquiry. The contentious plan has met with fierce opposition from neighbouring authorities and a large body of Everton's fans, especially after it became clear that promises made during the ballot of supporters in August 2007 held little substance. Keep Everton In Our City had announced earlier today that according to their Government source, the decision was to be announced tomorrow and confirmation of Sky's report is awaited from other news outlets.
