Doubt Klose will go abroad now at his age to be honest.

I've suggested Luca Toni in the past as a short term signing in January, we could do worse...

Yeah true he has been over there for most of his playing days I like that idea as well I mean not to be funny but I take any one in that list you posted atm.

Goals are weighted...

1 point for a league or domestic cup goal in the majority of countries

2 points if the above is in the English, French, German, Spanish or Italian leagues

3 points if the goal is in European competition or Internationals

Bit of a dodgy ratio... explains why Keane is in there with his International scoring record though.

All it really tells you is who's scored a noteworthy number of goals in the elite leagues of Europe over the past four years. That's about it  :D

Yep :)

We'd have nothing to take the pi.ss out of if it weren't for articles like this though!

Tbh tho isn't that the point of a good striker scoring goals ? I mean you don't buy a striker to defend well or setup goals do you.So when I look at strikers the biggest part of telling if he is good or not is if he scores goals.

Scoring goals is important Dazzer but I don't think it's the be all and end all. Players like Drogba, Rooney and Torres offer much more for the team that say an Anelka (although I understand he played well today). Knock it down a channel and they'll get onto it, hold it up and win you a platform or a free kick. Rooney is also quite creative, although I don't believe he posesses quite the goal thread of Torres or Drogba.

I agree with this, I don't think Rooney will ever be the most prolific scorer in any team, but he's a massive threat to any defence, great creative striker. Ask me if I'd have him at Liverpool and the answer would be no, only cos I don't like the fecker  :D

Yeah but then agian I wouldn't put rooney in the striker bracket he is more a SS or wide forward (Pardon the pun as in fat bast.ard)tbph.

Yeah well second or shadow as some people call it working off the front man but that is basicly just a Attacking midfield role with out much defending.I guess you right it is still I guess a striker. But I mean like a striker is bought for goals you don't spend 20 mil + on a player who don't have that in his locker that should be what they best at and any thing else is bonus.
