I've just been asked to place a £15m bond on Liverpool FC for Roma as that amount remains outstanding on the Aquilani deal. Three £5m intallments are due Jan 2010, June 2010 and Jan 2011. Obviously the bank will not guarantee it as they are prepared to pay the insurance market for it. They won't get it either as 2/3 of that will fall beyond when they might be out of the champion's League.
A £15m bond request for Leeds crossed my desk just before Rio signed for us and a lot of people have lost a lot of money backing Leeds since.
In conclusion, Liverpool are screwed if they don't finish 4th or above and i can't see it. Last year Arsenal lost 6 games all season and finished 4th, Liverpool have already lost 5.
