Yeah it was a 2-0 win against Arsenal in the 87-88 season. Aldridge scored that goal when McMahon chased down a Barnes cross that evaded everyone in the box, kept it in then passed to Beardsley. He had a cross shot that Lukic got a hand to but only into the path of Aldo who slid in at the back post on 44. Beardsley made it 2-0 when he went on a run, dummying a Arsenal defender then chipping the advancing Lukic.

Steve is a really good bloke, I remember once we were all round my nans for Christmas and Steve was their with his wife, she came up to my mum and said "hi I'm Steve McMahons wife pleased to meet you" so my mum replied "hi I'm Bill Connells wife"

i had a kick around with john barnes when i was younger. he was mates with my mums mate or something and he was a top bloke, also he wouldnt slag off liverpool
