Great game this and a massive step up in performance.

Why can't Liverpool play like this all the time?

Good half. We played very well, and chased, hunted for the ball at very turn. Hope we continue in the same vain, if we do, then we will score a couple.

Wonder what type of reception M (traitor) O will get if he comes on in the 2nd half.

Good half, we're on top so far but Rooney and Berbatov are linking up well and look dangerous.  Valencia has the beating of Insua every time.

Surprisingly though Lucas and Masch are winning the midfield battle and Carra and Agger are looking solid.

Get Johnson forward a bit more and slightly more accurate service to Torres and we'll win this.

Come on!!!!!!!!!!

Good confident performance so far. Confident being the important thing. Just shaded it and perhaps unlucky not to be one up.

Special mention Lucas who I'm not a big fan of. In the circumstances, his best performance ever probably in a red shirt. Winning balls in midfield and playing some tidy football.

Come on red men!

one thing you can say is that we know for sure the ref is going to be on man u side in the 2nd half.....after he gets his blow job from them.

got to feel man u will play much better in the 2nd half

Reasonably happy with that. We could have easily been ahead, Aurelio had a great chance with the header. Sometimes we, yet again, are playing like a team of individuals, some horrible misunderstandings especially with Kuyt. Carra and Agger have been superb, Lucas has done well, he seems to be enjoying himself. I'd like to see our attacks being a bit quicker and more fluid, sometimes it just seems to take ages. I think United could play better so we need the same effort from the lads in the second half and lets hope we can get the win.

Even the Brazilian commentators are saying how we're dominating midfield.

I think we're well on top and but for a couple of occasions where lack of touch at the crucial moment has let us down, we'd be in front. First one was in the aftermath of Aurelio's excellent free kick. When it breaks to kuyt, he has only to sit it up for the unmarked Lucas and the Brazillian can't miss. Unfortunately his "dink" is more of a "donk" and it would have cleared Crouch never mind Lucas.

Then to return the favour, Lucas passes it in amongst Kuyt's feet rather than into his stride, Kuyt falls over it and screws his shot wide. Hopefully the two moments don't cost us.

Like I say though, we've been much the better team, although I would expect them to replace Scholes with Anderson soon to give them a bit more energy.

Can I also just say, I can't believe I pay £20 a month to listen to Andy Gray commentate on our big matches. He's not only biased he's clueless. Disgrace.

great start from us, manure got better as time went one. we should have been 1 nil up with the amount of chances we had. we definietly got the wanting the win menatlity, lots of chasing the ball, good passing and good chances. I do have a feeling that manure do have another gear, hopefully they wont find that until we score first

hope more of the same second half, cant fault any of the players, all have been up for it. if i was nick picking then maybe johnson or insua for not going forward as much as i would have liked, but they do have giggs and valencia to deal with...

I've never liked him commentating on our games. He is always biased towards the opposing team. He is an old Eversh**e person I suppose.
