Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby redbeergoggles » Fri Oct 23, 2009 3:44 pm

Ok people Im back from a long much merited sabbatical ,and like many others I am dismayed by the fall from grace of my beloved club ,dismayed..... but not totally aghast, because in hindsight this has been coming from as far back as the two games with Chelsea in the Champions league last season ,I think I voiced my concerns about the lack of tactics ,or indeed any perceived game plan in those particular games, and I layed my cards firmly on the table after the 4-4 with Arsenal by relinquishing my  much coveted season ticket

I think what people seem to be overlooking is the turmoil this club has been in since day one when the di*ks with Stetsons strolled out and put their deceitful cowboy boots on  our hallowed ground soiling it  with their broken promises , and the perpetual obstructions, they have constantly blocked our continued progression with  .
I think in an earlier post I spoke of them being a tumour the club should remove asap before it was allowed to grow and fester suffocating our once proud heart ,well its grown people and its flourishing and laying down roots, soon there will not be a pulse let alone a heart to find ...

So desist from attacking Rafa because its irrelevant ,if you love the club truly ,you will surely know that success will ensure these two will bleed the club dry , I like to think of Hicks n Co as a form of gangrene sometimes the only viable option is to amputate a limb to ensure survival .

Lets face it people even the most myopic of you must realize  ,these are drastic times for our club ,Hicks and Gillettes publicists must be rubbing their grubby little hands with glee at the amount of sniping and backbiting that is all over the forums and Media alike .

I for one am genuinely disappointed  the posts I have read since returning from holiday  ,I expected the takeover thread to be inundated with fans expressing their concerns ,but the amount of abuse Rafa has received is quite frankly staggering ,and the lame threads that have sprung up are truly alarming its not about Rafa ,Tactics ,players,or indeed football its about  HICKS AND GILLETTE and us combining to rid ourselves of this very real threat to our future .

I am sorry my first post back is penned in such a manner ,and I genuinely apologize if any posters feel  offended by my tone ,but in retrospect I feel it needed saying ,so in summary : LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT NOW ,MORE THAN ANY TIME IN ITS ILLUSTRIOUS HISTORY ,IT HAS GIVEN US SOME OF THE BEST NIGHTS OF OUR LIVES ,IT HAS GIVEN US SOME OF THE BEST PLAYERS IN FOOTBALL HISTORY ,IT DESERVES RESPECT ,IT DESERVES A HUGE AMOUNT OF LOYALTY ,NOT LEAST IN REALIZING THAT THE REAL ISSUE IS DRIVING THESE AMERICAN HARBINGERS AWAY FROM OUR SHORES ,IT NEEDS BETTER FANS THAN THOSE WHO ARE CURRENTLY REARING THEIR MISGUIDED HEADS AND SLATING THE ONE MAN WHO IS HOLDING BACK THE PLAGUE .........

Im hoping that more than a modicum of fans can see this ,because this is a nightmare that we need to shake ourselves out of ,because believe me it isn't going away any time soon ,Its not as if I can change my allegiances at a whim and throw my support behind a more successful team ,I knew a long long time ago I was in this love affair for the veritable long haul , this is a scenario that only promises to suffocate our club till it no longer shows its own unique identity ,all the admirable traits which have collated true supporters of glorious flowing football from across the globe is decaying before our disbelieving eyes .

I would love to hear once again the press bemused and bewildered by our unity again ,but right now we only seem to be hurting ourselves ,as for the booing and heckling directed towards Benitez well that's for the blinkered to discuss ,I will make no comment .

There are a modicum of fans who agree with you but I think the majority are starting to think that the blame is shared between Rafa AND the owners, we need to get rid of both in my opinion. 4-5 losses on the bounce is not good enough.

I reckon there will be a lot more than 10,000 Igor, anything that big is bound to rouse vociferous support lets see them two squirming in their seats ,and their publicists having to work some considerable overtime, and lets hope it dominates the back pages whatever the outcome of the match

Yep I don't agree with all of it Red but you've definately got a way with words mate I'll give you that : buttrock . I do agree with the everyone pulling together bit, and I'm certainAnfield will be at boiling point on Sunday. There'll be far too much going on for the mancs to handle, Liverpool by two clear goals.
