If we manage to offload the Doss, then that £12M might go up...If we also get shot of Voronin, even more....
Can't see us getting more than £5M for the pair of them though - still, it's better than the value they give us right now...

Mcgeady - No bleedin' way. I've seen him for club and country and he's awful. Even worse at delivering a ball than some of the current crop.
Toni - Ditto. One dimensional player and ineffective at that.
Appiah - sicknote.

Dunno about Huntelaar - has he got a lot in his box of tricks ? What exactly is he - midfielder ? Striker ?

Whatever about the £12M, I'd love to see Nemeth back for 6 months. I'd like a punt on Aguero, tho' dunno what he'd cost. Dzeko at Wolfsburg. Gimme a bit more time to think...

Great shout on Luca Toni (John) who is the sort of player we might be able to bring in on loan. He's a big lad with an eye for goal and would give us a change-up to the usual. Just what we need in my opinion.

I'd like to see us go after Steven Talyor at Newcastle or Ryan Shawcross from Stoke. Both good players, Shawcross has the higher upside but I think Taylor could come in and do a job immediately, he'd certainly give Carra a kick up the backside.

Haha!!! Take that £12 mill and times it by four and they might talk to us mate! Cracking player, love him to bits. Never gonna happen though  :(

He's a very Carra-esque player that Steven Taylor isn't he?

I'd worry maybe that by taking him away from his hometown club you'd lose that certain edge from his game.  I live in Newcastle these days and they absolutely love him up here.  He did throw a bit of a strop before the window shut about wanting to leave, but that's mainly because the owners were selling everyone else and even tried to sell him to Everton when he didn't really want to leave.  He's a good player though.

I think there's too much of an onus on him to be the main creator for Celtic and Ireland and as a result he tries to do too much.

I think the McGeady of this season and the one a few seasons ago are completely different players though mate.  One things for sure, he won't realise his full potential if he doesn't move south sometime soon.

Agree on that, very Carra'esque. Reads the game well, makes a lot of last ditch blocks and stops, vocal plus a good leader. However, I think he is far better in the air than Carra. I still like Hangeland at Fulham, in fact he would be my first choice but I simply don't think we could afford him as his stock is so high. He's as close to Sami or Vidic as you get in this league at the moment.

Obafemi Martins would be a player I would like to see in a Red shirt - not getting his way in Germany I believe but they wont sell him after 6 months.

Scott Brown? Abit like Lee Cattermole but is better attacking than Cattermole a good ball winner and where's his heart on his sleeve. Club or Country.

Belhadj at Portsmouth quality left back/winger - he would probably be on the cheap aswell with the problems Portsmouth have been in. The lad deffo knows how to put quality in for the frontmen.

Shawcross is a good shout from whoever posted that before - I reckon Tony Pulis would ask for alot for him though seeing as Michael Turner went to Sunderland for a silly amount.

Matthew Taylor at Bolton - To be honest he isnt a bad player at all. Would be a good squad player and wouldn't cost alot.

We could loan him if things ain't going well and get him on options I also am a bit of a fan he got strenght 2 good feet and very fast seems like a great partner or back up for Torres to me and could get him on the cheap.

decent player but would be overpriced as he's british. spurs were linked with him in the summer for £10m which seems way too excessive.

according to lee j, adam johnson has said he's staying at boro until the summer which means he could then leave on a free. in january you'd probably get him for £5m or so.

Id love it see KevinNolan.  Proper fighter, causes defenders loads of problems, great in the air which would help us at both ends of the field and is a Liverpool fan
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

yep 100% reason why I shouted him today and few days ago cos he would like carra and gerrard give 110% no questions asked for this club and I also think he is fast and good in air and we need a bit of that from midfield.
