Though 23 million is nowhere near enough for him and hopefully we won't be forced into selling him come the window.
He's been "unhappy" for some time now and it does seem to be reflected in his game.
No point hanging onto a player that doesn't want to be here. However given our midfield situation the best solution for all concerned is maybe agree a sale asap but with the move to take place in the summer.
Agree the £23 mill is far short of what we could get for him.
Why the crazy valuation for Mascha if Alonso went for £30m? Sorry I don't get it. Mascha is a great spoiler and half the time he isn't really needed against poorer opposition. Creates absolutely nothing, never scores and just occasionally completely fks up and the likes of Chelsea score!
What he gave the ball away in their half ye mean ?
Terrible that isnt it ?
Stop bein a plank.

Mascha is nothing more than a spoiler which I admit he does very well but after that you get very little. I still maintain that if another club are prepared to pay £30m then we should take the money and buy a far more rounded defensive midfielder that also has the ability to attack and score more than 1 fkg goal in 100 matches. Ffs that is awful. Similar record to Carra in his last 100!

Nanny mate you might not like thebut that doesn't really matter as it his stats that I am interested in and just because they don't make good reading doesn't mean their wrong!
I hate to criticise any of the players but to be honest Mascha is getting on my nerves. Never once did he show one ounce of loyalty to LFC during the summer when Barca were courting him. Both him and his agent are only interested in getting as much money as possible and I don't think they could give a dam about anything else. SOUNDS LIKE ANOTHER COUPLE OF BLOKES THAT YOU HAVN'T GOT A LOT OF TIME FOR!

I couldn't give a flying fk where he was when he gave away the ball. His inept dithering cost us the game - FACT!
Just read the following link if you think I am on my own http://www.liverpool-kop.com/2009....ed.html

Sometimes, not only in this case, but in the past, we see something obvious as the team struggling in some aspects of the game. And in those situations we tend to find culprits in specific players. And we start looking at them players and paying even more attention to the player's mistakes. When this happens, you can even see a player doing a good game and being harshly criticised for 2 or 3 astray balls, that would have been overlooked in the past.
What I'm saying is that some problems of the team have a context. If your CB line doesn't work, your Mascherano or any holding midfielder won't play the same. The position Mascherano occupies, the risks he takes, the decissions he makes have a lot to do with his context. Not that we don't have problems, we do, but I never liked to find inmediate scapegoats to explain a collective game.
