The real question is can you run a club as a business when the 'business' is to win trophies? I think Arsenal is the answer, you can but not be the best and most successful club.
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

In a business view it is more "safe" to invest just enough to get CL and PL money as that extra investment to take you all the way is much to risky finacially if it doesn't pan out as it leaves no room for error at all.

Yes I would have liked more big signings, but I used to put that down to lack of CL football and our lack of success generally rather than blaming the owner. I presumed once we got regular CL football the signings would come followed by a period of dominance again once we got the ball rolling.

I was certainly a happier, more patient and optimistic supporter before we were taken over. I would settle now for owners who tried to do what was best for the club, built a new stadium or even just extended Anfield, with a sound business plan that didn't entail massive debt and spent just enough on transfers to keep us in with a decent chance of titles. If the owner managed to do that and made a profit .....good luck to him. I wouldn't mind a few years of heavy spending on transfers either if it was possible, but I would settle for no debt a new stadium and our future assured.

Isnt Moores the beaut who rejected DIC and went for twit and tw@t instead?

Yeah but the fact is put money into the club but realistically not expect to make  a return on it.

Can you think of anyone whose made money owning a footy club?  Geordie Ashley might be a hint.

we could pimp you out and see how much money you make and transfer the funds to the lfc kitty. Hopefully it will help out or so... lool
