Someone who seeks to drown out sensible discussion with either repetitive nonsense which derails the subject in hand, or pours scorn on any dissenting voices by quetioning their loyalty, knowledge, "real fanness", where they live, what they do for a living, or just by generally abusing them.
In the former example, a lesser spotted blanket thrower will answer a question about whether or not Steven Gerrard would have been better employed in central midfield given our injuries with "but didn't him and Torres score lots of goals together up front", or "well in some cases perhaps but in others in wasn't necessary" or "but how do you know Gerrard hasn't expressly told Rafa that he doesn't want to play there" or "but why would Masherano stay with us if he's going to be second fiddle" or "but are you saying Insua isn't a good left back" or "but we beat Man Utd with this same team 18 months ago" etc etc etc. Essentially the discussion is forcibly sidetracked into a holding bay of nonsense.
It is much debated whether the lesser spotted (or indeed greater spotted) blanket thrower does this on purpose, or whether it is unintentional.
The greater spotted blanket thrower can't match it's cousin for tenacity, and what's more is a much more aggressive and confrontational animal. He'll question your knowledge, ask to see your coaching badges, think what you do for a living is relevent, openly accuse you of talking sh!t if you dare to suggest mass rotation isn't necessarily the way to go, or that a draw at Home with Hull isn't the best result, or that pre season matches can be quite useful, or that going for a win might be an idea, or suggest that all the draws might eventually be costly. His rallying cry is the "I don't fecking believe this place" and he is most commonly found after a sh!t performance, abusing all and sundry who come on here to vent some frustration. Strangely, you very often find them after wins as well, asking "so where are all the fecking moaners and groaners now, c...s".
If you want to avoid a greater spotted blanket thrower, the best time to come on the boards is after they have been proven to be talking b0ll0cks. This could be on rotation, whether the draws are important and will cost us the title, whether pre season matters, whether Steven Gerrard ought to be currently in central midfield etc etc. As has alreasy been stated, they don't match their lesser spotted cousin for stickability. The lesser spotted blanket thrower will continue to chirp away quite happily even when proven totally wrong, whereas his more aggressive relative will disappear for a while and never mention the conflict again once he realises that once again he's on the wrong side of the ledger.
They are an interesting breed though, and their time on the forum is mostly spent trying to drown out discussion by either abuse or nonsense.
In fact fu,ck it - this is one of the reasons why i cant be arsed posting here anymore for a while. Yeah people get banned and carded for calling another poster a tw.at etc - yet the thinely veiled little smart alec cheap digs just fly by as they are supposed to be funny. Well im sorry for having an opinion that you dont agree with - fine disagree with me all well and good and debate the points i have made but fu.ckin give the smart a.rse lectures to try and make yourself look all big and clever or a rest for once.
I apologise unreservedly for backing my team , the players in that team , the manager who runs that that team and be with them through thick and thin and trying to find the good . I apologise for sticking up for our own players and manager and for thinking positively and when i do return to post i will remember that i must follow in line and be negative about the club and players and i hope that follows other peoples idea about how i should behave .
Good day to you all and for those that know the meaning which seems to be lost on some people these days
YNWA !!!!!
Well I hope you don't stay away too long, the forum isn't as good when you're not around. If you are genuinely offended by my post, then of course I apologise although you must surely realise it was meant in jest.
My advice is to stop being so easily offended, take it in the spirit it was intended, and get yer erse back on the forum before too long you daft fecker.
Even though you talk b0ll0cks you do definately add something to the place when you're around, nobody can deny that.
