I wonder if Redknapp will try and keep him in that form by rotating him into dizziness, or whether he'll go for the somewhat old fashioned approach of sticking with a striker while he's hot.

Sorry, I meant Rafa´s lovechild
And no, I am not overreacting.
That season was horrible in the sense that Kuyt always played and he was almost always ****.
Crouch scored a couple of goals, gets dropped for Kuyt who misses a sitter vs Blackburn, Crouch scores a hattrick vs the Gunners, gets dropped and we see Kuyt in the CL final.
Just about sums that season up.
Still incensed when thinking about it.
But Kuyt he worked haaaard...

Which season ? the first season we got kuyt ?who actually scored more than crouch did in the prem ? In fact kuyt scored more in the prem that season than crouch ever has scored in a single season in the prem .

Dont start![]()
That may be because he played every game despite being shockingly poor.
There was a period in the season where he was that bad it was difficult to watch without feeling so sorry for him.
Crouch would then come in for the odd game score and get dropped again.
That was definately the case.
As a striker for Liverpool the two players dont even compare Crouch was far better.
Dirk has been far better when shifted right without the added pressure of being expected to score the goals.

Thought we signed Torres the summer after ?
He wasnt with us in the 2007 champions league final.

06/07 was the first year we got kuyt mate - that year kuyt scored more in the prem than crouch ever has done yet crouch got a fair number in the cl - ie 7 and got to the final of the cl
07/08 - we got torres , kuyt scored 3 in the prem and had his barren spell but did well in the cl scoring 7 when we got to the semi finals and torres got his pile in the prem and crouch was basically back up to torres .

So its 06/07 that i had the problem with.
Thats the year he might have outscored Crouch but thats because he was selected more often.
