Watching the program puts a lot of things into perspective for me - we have lots of fights and arguments on here and going on about owners etc etc but thats just secondary to thoughts when you see programmes like this . I think shanks was wrong - football isnt more important than life or death .

I ordered a wrist band as with uni im a bit hard up atm.

I wont buy a wristband or make any kind of donation. This isnt to be spiteful or show disrespect . Those who sign up for the army for this government should expect the worst case scenario. Soldiers not given the proper armour or protection, of course not. That money is better spent buying porn for their husbands, their moat to be cleaned, their sisters house to be done up.
No the money shouldnt come from us, and any soldier will say they dont want charity. Any soldier will say though, I set out with the intention of serving this country. And every soldier will confirm, this government has screwed them, in more ways than one. If a soldier dies on duty, the best they can get is a mention in Prime Ministers Question Time. Not because it is appropriate, it takes up time that the Prime Minister would otherwise have to answer difficult questions.
The government should be paying out for the lives they are ruining. Especially the soldiers. With Iraq it was a whole nonsense war. With Afghanistan, there is to be no winner in that one. So no, I wont make a donation. Many people in britain never got to vote to say whether or not we went to war with Iraq, and we do not get to vote in a majority of decisions which are made against our beliefs, so no, I wont make a donation. That to me is not so much as supporting our heroes but more to do with bailing out the government who should be held accountable to every soldiers life they have ruined.

Kharkaz, you express the opinion of a young man and not a father.
Yes they joined the army knowing the risks but they take these risks for YOU. It doesnt take a lot or cost much to say thank you when they're injured or lose limbs. Thats a big sacrifice. Even the binman gets a lobo at christmas.

The guys still need help and the charity does wonders for these guys - yes more money from the government should be used and you shouldnt say no just because you dont agree with the government . Understand what your saying thou mate but dont let your dislike of the government go against these guys
