Don't judge the new signings yet - Wait until the new year

Stu, i dont think we need an alternative. i think Rafa has  enough qualities as a manager to weed out weak players anyway, like Danny Murphy before a premiership ball has been kicked. So i dont think its a case of give the new players until the new year etc, i think Rafa will weed them out! simple as. if they dont perform by christmas , he may bring someone in and drop them to the bench for a bit.

as far as solutions go, Garcia has been impressive  so far, good work rate, can tackle/chase the ball, good vision and skill and can score. we need more players like him, and i believe they will come under Benitez.

Great reading St Mike, cheer and whole heartedly agree.
And thanks Hustler for your input...makes you realise the world is right when a negative follows a positive, a load of nonsense follows a decent well thought out post....a moron speaks after someone who knows what they're talking about... thanks for bringing balance to the site and my world.

Once again an excellent post, St. Mike  :)

I totally agree with you, that the new players, and manager as well, needs time to bed in. We can`t possibly compete with clubs like Chelsea and Manu in the "spending money-area", so in my opinion it`s obvious that we have to spend our money wisely and with a more long term aim of success.

I remember reading a Viera-interview where he said that when Henry first came to Arsenal ha was somewhat of a laughing stock in the squad; They didn`t imagine him becoming what he is today. The same Henry who trained with manure but wasn`t offered a contract because he didn`t posess the skills needed to make an impact in PL.
I hope that Rafa is the man who can sign the players perfect for Liverpool, not because of their name and reputation, but because of his ability to spot the Zidane`s and Henry`s out there before they create a name for themselves and are prized to £30M and bought by manure or Chel$ki.

i cant comment on this topic as i havent read the opening post for the simple reason that it's too long.

i stare at the screen all day in work and in between calls try to keep up to date on this site, with the odd post. my eyes would be killin if i'd have read that post till the end, and i'd probably be sacked for releasing customer calls.

so spare a thought for the low-life call centre workers st mike when you begin your next war and peace-esque novel.

(or get a job)

:D
its not the chilli sauce on kebabs that give you ring-sting, its the actual meat. had one without chilli, and still had ring-sting. the chilli's only there to mask the nonsense they stuff inside that bread.
