Good to see you back mate.

As for the question, I gave up talking about this site and it's politics a while ago and it's more comfortable. I read both this forum and the rattle.

Hi Adam, Where have you been? Am I right in thinking you also post on another forum, TIA or similar.

The forums ticking over, not that much quality football discussion these days, but it's a habit isn't it.

Hey Adam hope all is well.

The forum feels like it isn't as good as it used to be, although I suspect some of us older farts always say that. Mostly though things haven't changed much. Lucas has taken over from Kuyt as the main polarising factor on the forum in that there are those that really rate him and those that don't. Rafa continues to spark off debate. Once again some love him and some don't, those that don't normally get lumped together into the "Rafa hater" subsection.

There's rows, fall outs, politics, wheels within wheels and all the usual stuff, but my one gripe would be in agreement with fivecups that there is very little football discussion of much value these days. I remember people making points in days gone by which would make you think, re-evaluate, provide insight into a situation. Often I'd be driving to work mulling over a point such and such had made, thinking whether I agreed with them or not on systems and players. These days though that's rare, simply because people don't seem to bother discussing the finer points anymore. Most seem happy enough to simply adopt a party line, unwilling to question what they watching and/or what they are hearing.

It's a shame, but that's the way it is I'm afraid. Other than that, IMHo it's still the best Liverpool forum on the net. I've looked at all the others, and they are even more one-liner "up the Reds/Rafa is the new Shankly" than this one. I suppose that's the point really, for those who want an "up the Reds" forum with little or no discussion, the forum has improved. For those who are boring feckers and want to go into things a little deeper, it's probably deteriorated. Anyways I'm waffling now as per, but suffice to say the forum is always better with people such as yourself posting mate, so hopefully you stick around.

I think this place has improved with less arguments. The problem was that some people would turn an argument about football in to a personal crusade.

I think its got more relaxed over the last few months.

Ive looked through a lot of the rest of Liverpool forums and some of them are just all about bells and whistles and have no substance , i enjoy reading what certain posters on here have to say about things and most of the info that is put up is good. Id check this here first for my Liverpool news and as 7 Kewell said the place has calmed down a lot recently and has become a better place for it.

It's calmed down now the season has started again. Over summer it was like a boozy holiday...loads of random fights starting and the fit birds thread in overdrive

I've been over at the rattle for a couple of years.

I think I just got bored of this place really and no offence to those who don't go to the match but I felt as if I needed to have a chat with match go-ers a bit more. Also this place became far too serious for me and well, too much like RAWK.

Also I have had alot on, just finished my A-levels and starting Uni next week. How time flies ey?

Joined this forum when I was in year 9, how shocking is that?  :D
