I was just sat here, thinking of the songs we had in the past. Then one song popped into my head, I didnt see the film until years later, but always I remember the song, and so I looked for it on you tube. I came across this clip which got me on a nostalgia trip. First off the clip: Convoy.

The ole LP players. Growing up we had the epitome of technology, we had a black bar on ours to play the next album ! I remember one christmas I got my own LP player but got the god awful Keith Harris and Orville record to go with it, to suffer what I went through click here.

Also that year I got a bar of toffee that came with a small metal hammer to bang the bugger with !

That took some doing, going back that long, whats your longest memory?

Longest Memory?

About 5 years old...i had been a bit of a naughty rip in our back garden, was sent up to me room and remember being half frightened to death by the all of a sudden and previously completely benign...'evil and menacing' stare of a picture i had up on me wall.....bear in mind it was just before teatime and must have been knocking on a bit in the year, as it was already starting to go a bit dark. An 'episode' worsened by the fact that i wasn't allowed to put the light on (wtf!!) - so all the cars coming past the house were shining their headlights briefly onto this same wall in my bedroom where the grotesque duo stood, maliciously mocking my plight - with 'those' eyes.

These c*nts

Cabbaged me head for years afterwards them.

Almost as bad as the dream i once had of me nan's ewbank chasing me round Lennons.    :no

My earliest memory is of my sister who was three years older than me coming home from school saying she had swollowed a needle (she actually had a sore throat :D  ) but it frightened me at the time. I know it was before I started school, but not sure just how old I was.

Musically - we had a record player but only 5 records :- Seven little girls sitting in the back seat, Little white bull, Mary's boychild, an LP by Frank Sinatra and one other record that I can't remember at the moment. We had just those five records for years. The first record I ever bought was an E.P. by Gerry and the Pacemakers.

Fear factor - We got leaded windows with a fruit bowl as part of the design. When I looked at it from a certain angle lying down, it looked like a bearded man (the devil) and it was quite a while before I could go to bed with the curtains open.
