New sponsor maybe?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

This is a great bit of business by Purslow.  For the first time we are showing we can compete off the field as well as on it.
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Alcohol in moderation is very good. I am fairly certain that if these fundamentalist muslim nutjobs got :censored: and stoned once in a while we wouldn't have half as much aggro as we do. Or was it marmite they need.  :D

Not that I'm suggesting Puresco is a fundamentalist of course, at least I hope he's not.  :lookaround

it's good that we finally have a decent deal
But I hope G&H frees the money for the advancement of the club rather than line their own grubby pockets
Saw a post back there about shirts expected to sell more in asia now that it's no longer an alcoholic ad
I live in Asia, and trust me, the die-hard Liverpool fans, mostly in our 30s and above now, have always and will always support the club
It's sad that not much young fans are supporting Liverpool at the moment coz of Manure and other clubs with asian players
But I have faith that it'll all come around
We are the biggest club in the world, with the most passionate supporters, with the richest tradition.....
Those young punks in Asia will see the light someday
In the meantime, me 2 year old son and daughter will be raised as die-hard Liverpool fans
Though they can't talk yet, I'll have them singing you'll never walk alone yet!

Are you a mormon?  :eyebrow

I cant imagine being influenced so much in a negative way to not buy a shirt unless the design was plain horrible?

Why does a beer name affect you so much if you dont mind me asking?

Muslim.  Dont wanna war a shirt with alcohol branding all over it.

Great news. i hope that we can borrow on more favorable terms from SC. 4 yrs deal @ 80 mil pounds means our dear friends at Carlsberg had been underpaying us for nearly 2 decades.

Perhaps I'm being a bit toooooo cynical.....but.....a financial institution spending a whack load of cash on a sponsorship deal, esp. in the current climate ?? Does that not sound a bit odd to anyone else ?

It's a great deal for the club but I am a bit sad to see Carlsberg going as they were the once who introduced me to LFC in the first place.

Gotta be the worst reason to support a club I ever heard off.   :no

Welcome boost considering our financial state at the moment. Really nice camp photo of Gerrard and Torres

:eyebrow

I wonder if there is more to this deal that meets the eye. Middle east/asian bank investing heavily in LFC at a time when we are in a very poor financial state. I just wonder if this has something to do with the potential sale of the club to investors from that same part of the world. Or maybe I am just dreaming. Probably more than likely the latter :(

Gillett also confirmed that Liverpool will unveil a new shirt sponsor on September 18, stating: "I think people will be pleased and surprised. It will be one of the great, worldwide corporations. And I think it will be a sponsor people will be pleased and surprised to be [associated with] Liverpool."

The feckers just can't get anything right!! :D

Decent deal as long as the money goes to the club and not twit 'n tw@ts pockets. Even if it's used to reduce the debt it'll hopefully free up transfer funds or am I just pissin' on me own shoes there?? ???

alcohol kills more people and ruins more familys then drugs do and its about time advertising them on shirts kids buy was banned

it amazes me when i see someone with a pint in one hand and a ciggy in the other talking down their nose about someone who smokes weed
