How many points do you think the other main competitors will get from Villa @ home and SPurs away? Although I am sure all of them will get more than 0, I am not sure if any will get all 6.

ALso, I think our challenge was ALWAYS going to have a lot to do with 2 things: maintaining the kind of form we had last season against the big teams 14/18, and eliminating the home draws against teams like Stoke

I would expect all the others to beat Villa at home, Spurs away is going to be tricky for everybody though, in fact Spurs are looking very good so far. Strange considering how people used to say 'Arry couldn't manager a big team, and yes I do consider Spurs a fairly big team, they sure as feck have a better bench than us. :down:

Bolton is the type of game wed always draw, villa was 0-0 last season, so with those 2 games we are actually a point better off

Harry Redknapp is a very very good manager imo.. In the transfer market i think hes one of the best around.. in terms of man management, you just need to look at some of the names hes developed in all the different clubs hes managed to recognize he has a thing in bringing out the best out of his players... Think hes better at creating a squad than someone like Moyes is (although Moyes has done very well given what hes spent, so to me, thats saying something).. Yes, he does spend alot of money compared to other clubs outside the top4, but he usually gets it right with his signings.. Not a great tactician but he knows how to send a team out fired up for the game... Id say hes about on par with O'neil but certainly better than some of the other names out there (Moyes, Big Sam, Hughes, Hodgson..etc)..

If i was a big team and i wanted to appoint a British manager id certainly be looking at Harry before O'neil or any of the other names.. Moyes, maybe even Hudgson would probably do better at a club with a smaller budget..

Oh and by the way.. before the season started i tipped Tottenham to be the surprise side for the season, mainly because of Harry and his record with signings... thought they'd end up 6th with a good season... So far they seem to be doing very well, but dont know how far it would last with Modric apparently breaking his fibula and being ruled out for a couple of months...

Far too early to make any conclusions as Chelsea's downturn last season proved and Man U's
equally reverse in fortunes from bad to good.

However - I have concerns about us.
I want to see Gerrard drop back into centre mid, I think it's the answer, but I feel Rafa wont
even want to consider this option.

We could be 12-1 shots for the title after Chelsea away.

I agree with your prediction except for everton to be lower because they are sh!t
I believe the mancs will implode due to berbatov being dung and that putting too much pressure on shrek
Arsenal will have a blip round christmas. We will be close to chelsea come may and the two lost games will probably be the points that will cost us

We've already slipped to 8-1 from 9/4! Chelsea on the other hand have gone from 7/4 to 5/4.

didn't we do the double over Bolton the last two seaons as well

But I think we are only 1 point off last seasons pace when you compare the matchups

I'll be honest, i'm worried about Man City. They've signed some good players who are already proven in the premier league. Man utd, Chelsea will also be big threats...but i think Arsenal lack the depth again. One or two injuries and they'll struggle.

As will we.

If we click and aqua man plays well then

1- Liverpool or runners up
2- Chelsea
3- Mancs
4- Man city
5- Arsenal

If we continue to stutter and no difference is made when aqua starts

1- Chelsea
2- Man utd
3- Man city
4- Arsenal
5- Liverpool

I know the trend is to make firm predictions on here but the point surely has to be whether we can be remain in the mix until the closing stages, or not, and I think we will be mainly because we have to be. You could probably come back in two months, then in four months, then in six months, each time with an updated set of predictions on who will finish in which position, and each set of predictions could be completely wrong - it's far from guaranteed they'd even increase in accuracy over that time such is the propensity for things to change.
