Cisse's got the heskey disease! - .....not impressing so far.

I actually thought Cisse played well against WBA without scoring!
It hadnt helped that prior to this weekend service to the front players was not good!
I think the pairing played this weekend showed a lot of promise!
As soon as people try to close garcia down it will leave more space for Cisse and his pace to exploit!

apart from the fact he missed 3, possibly 4 good chances V WBA on saturday, I hope hes not getting the Emile Heskey Disease. he falls over easily too.
Also, most of the goals are coming from Midfield, with Stevie G being top scorer, so i think the welcome party is over for Cisse and he needs to get his skates on. Same goes for baros.
I know its only 4 games plus freindlies, but we need to see more.

I was expecting Thierry Henry mark 2.

so far, not so good!

Heskey falls to the ground even when the wind suddenly change direction!

Cisse had taken on the defenders of WBA on a few occassions, he needs to adjust to the higher tempo and physicality of the EPL. Also, the supply lines must improve for him to get better chances. He hasn't scored a lot yet but he can't be accused of not trying, and he is no Heskey...

If I recall correctly, Cisse did not miss as many as 4 or 5 clear cut chances like what Hustler said. I remembered he had to make those chances himself by taking on the WBA defenders, and he had only about 2 chances which can be considered clear cut.

Michael Owen misses more than that for both England and his new club...

Speaking from the ****** again hustla. You can't judge players after four competitive games in the prem some come on earlier than others, Rafa and the new lads need time to change the houllier players ways of negative football, we have one of the best up and coming managers in rafa, he's gonna be great for this club.

Says it all of his football knowledge, doesn't it?

What constitutes a good start? 7 goals?

He's got one in 4 league games playing at a relatively young age for a new team (which is being rebuilt) in a different league in a different country under a different manager that signed him, after spening about 2 months earlier in the summer recovering from a bad injury.

Don't those mitigating factors not count?

He has done ok so far, nothing spectacular, but he has looked pretty decent at times as well.

He needs time to bed in and if he finishes the season with only 8 or 9 goals then maybe he might deserve some criticism, but mid September is a time for supporting the guy, not slating him.

What youve got to understand is that Hustler talks complete ****** 99% of the time and posts threads like these to get himself a little buzz from the attention he gets from people giving him sh!t, if he was a decent supporter he would be lookin at all the positives that came out of the game instead of bein a tw*t.

In my opinion, we need a new main Striker.
Larsson, could have been the man, perhaps Morientes, Alan Shearer of 5 years ago !!  On Current evidence neither Cisse or Baros are good enough to carry the burden.
Both are probably reasonable support players, although I even have my doubts with Baros on that one.
I reckon Rafa will be already be lining up one of his 'trustees' for that slot as soon as he can pull the funding !!  ???   ???

Redtribe, Unfortunately it doesn't appear to me that Cisse packs enough power to lead the line. Sure he is fast on to a through ball and he is very quick on the turn, but I don't see him as a strong presence in the box, holding the ball or knocking it down for others. Neither is he physically challenging the opposition, but let's see when he comes up against Keane etc.
I see Cisse in a secondary role.
Patience is only a virtue. Foresight is a real craft !!  :blues:  :blues:
