I saw a collection of his goalscoring exploits via a video link from this forum. Cisse seems to be the type who scores tap in goals, headers, close range shots, and derivatives/similar to these, just like his goals against Spurs and the goal for France recently. The video does not show him running from deep with the ball and dribbling past a few defenders. Yet, to date, he has had to do a lot of running with the ball and trying to beat defenders.

My question is this - when he does settle down, are we going to get a lot of goals from him as we heve not been utilising him at his most effective? i fear that our playing style does not make full use of his strengths and thus, he would remain as unfulfilled potential.

Perhaps what we are discussing is not whether he's a good player which I think we all accept but whether he can settle and whether he can play with the rest of the team (or the rest of the team with him).

I also think the forum is the place to debate issues sooner rather than later and if this isn't the case then who decides when the time is right.

I agree its too soon but then we can still raise the issues now!

its not cisse i am worried about,his time will come soon and rather than an all round player i think he looks more of a goal poacher like Nistelroy for the manc s**t - which is what we need - we have the all round players in Gerrard, Garcia Alonso and many others -we just need players like cisse who are fast, terrifying defences and will stick the ball in the net. I have a feeling he will strike against United.
Baros on the other hand does cause me concern because he doesnt look happy or confortable when playing, he keeps his head down and tries to do too much himself - i just hope that himself and Cisse can form some sort of partnership or else can see Garcia playing upfront - leaving us in a similiar situation as last season - needing a quality winger

no one could be as bad as heskey. jesus, he couldn't score in a brothel. cisse has pace and even with his 1 goal in 5 matches or so, still has a better percentage than heskey:angry:

in france he often needed 2-3 tries to find the net but he creates himself his own tries with his pace so we coulnd't criticize him, he improved a lot last season and at the end of the season he couln's miss anything ( http://www.aja.free.fr/2003-20....1).avi) but now he needs time to feel better in the team, to improve his relashionsip witch gerrard or garcia
