When are they back - New signings

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

:D May i start by saying what a great performance by the mighty Reds against WBA - although not contenders for the league they are still a premiership side, similiar to the 'lesser' teams we may have lost to last season.
Watching Garcia over the last couple of matches from what i have seen he offers many different options to Raffa and the team and he looks a fantastic buy with his flair and skill - something that Lfc have been missing since the likes of Litmanem who could help break down defences. Also being able to play either side or upfront just adds to this lads potential to become a liverpool star.
Alonso i have not seen play to his full potential yet and he looks to be trying too hard to hit killer balls when an easier option is often the best - but i believe with some time and getting to know his team mates and Raffas style of play, himself and Gerrard will be a deadly partnership.
I believe Josemi has been Raffas best buy for the money as he has looked awsome in all matches ( except for the Bolton goal) he is strong, quick and alert.

Overall i think Raffas purchases for Lfc have been excellent - rather than rushing into signings he has given time to think about what the team needs to strenghthen. Just imagine if he had the money that we let GH spend what a team we would have.

Any one know when Nunez and Smicer are likly to be back - I am looking forward to seeing nunez play and it would be good to see Smicer back in action as they both give more options which is always good for Lfc

These are exciting times for Lfc and it wont be long until we are challenging for the title

From what I hear Nunez is two to three weeks away from being in a position to play whereas no-one really knows about Smicer given that his injury was extremely bad. Some say after Christmas, while others say he's out for the season.

At one stage there was even a fear that he'd never play again.

Nunez is playing for the reserves either this week or next so hopefully it won't be long until we get to see what he's like :)

I'd never wish injury on any player (ok, Gary Neville aside....who incidentally broke his knee against Poland) so I wish Smicer a quick recovery, despite the fact that I don't rate him as a player.

I personally don't believe the Man Utd game is the best occasion to introduce him to the delights of the Premier league, maybe unlease him against Norwich.

or chelsea let gain him full fit first and play one reserve game but nowhich could be a good game but at anfield there could be too much pressure on him.

We have a good chance of doing good against Chelsea and Man utd. If Everton can keep a clean sheet against Man Utd so we can we. If Villa can keep a clean sheet against Chelsea so can we.

I am hoping like everyone that he will be another good signing because lets face it playing for Real Madrid reserve team would be like playing for a premiership first team with the quality they have - so fingers crossed
