I'm not really sure how we managed to win a series against a team which for me was palpably superior, but we did so we'll take it. I do think it's a bit of a shame that it took us twenty years of getting beaten by the Australians to finally learn how to win, and now they've very quickly mastered the art of losing and doing it with the extreme good grace which has evaded England over the years.

I think despite not really getting much rub of the green and being on the wrong end of plenty of poor umpiring, their conduct has been absolutely exemplary which is more than you can say for some of the louts who have taken to cricket. I've no doubt the Austrailan media and public won't see it this way, but their team returns home with much to be proud of I think.

Well played to the better team over the series

I expect  there will be lot of teeth nashing over not grabbing that first test and being denied by a couple of tailenders for 69 odd balls

Standard of umpiring was rather poor however Australian team at its peak used to get more its share of lucky decisions, Like most sport teams the better team usually does. I think it also shows despite all the reliance on technology isnt going to take that element out of the game (something I hope isnt lost on code of Football).

However in Australia at least there has been alot of debate over the fact that two best umpires currently in world couldnt particpate in this series due to their nationality. I find that rather ironic as neutral umpires were brought in to stop the argument of home ground bias

Australia is rebuilding at moment and we will rise again

Mate, I'd rather watch 70 mins of a hurling match than 2 mins of a game of rounders....
Watch either of the All Ireland finals this year, THEN tell me which is a man's game....

don't have to knock each other out to be a man's game... cricket is not rounders either, its a game of skill, chess on a pitch. Oh, and you stand in front of one of Flintoff's bowls... Maybe it's an Iq thing mate... not that im calling all irish people stupid...

Who said anything about knocking each other out ? Have you ever watched a game of hurling/gaelic football ? I doubt it, otherwise you wouldn't have made such a comment...
So go ahead, watch. See where the skill lies...

But maybe you're right. Maybe you have to be really, really skilful to throw a ball at some sticks. Maybe my below par IQ doesn't permit me to see the skill and chess-like element to that.

Gimme a break...  :no

Your ignorance is truly astounding, my friend....

Actually, I think it's pointless carrying on this exchange.

Go educate yourself.
