Ivorian. Someone from the Ivory Coast, I used it today totally uneccessarily when talking about Drogba. Most such words sound pretty good. Scarborian isn't too bad I don't think, but I never thought Grimbarian worked that well really.

I like "sandwich" as long as that Nigel Slater bloke isn't saying it. It sounds a little off-putting then.

"Embroiled" is good too. Some people on here do that, they embroil you. Sometimes you are so far down the road of embroilement that its really hard to extracate yourself from the mire.

I was going to say that Barry and I "erred" on the side of caution (err being a top word as well, a verb I believe, to "err"). It's like conversational quicksand, you're just ambling along, innocently talking about football and the next minute you find yourself "embroiled". Just like the bloke in the Tarzan films who sees himself disappearing into an abyss (another goodie) of bottomless mud, you think "how the feck did I ever get into this?".

It must be nightmare for these poor feckers who try and learn English. They get through the stage seven, level six advanced (the qualification that means you can teach English to English people in Tower Hamlets, as well as some other London Boroughs) and you suddenly discover that "err" is a verb. From that moment on, every time some fecker goes "err, I'm not sure I'm hearing you right here but...." that's them fecked.
